About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Greens were in great condition
Before you make your tee time, make sure there is not a tournament scheduled. We had to wait on every hole and it took us much longer to play than expected.
Great course
Great course with beautiful challenging holes on the back 9. Worth a return visit!
From the blue tees a well placed tee ball is a must.
Trees, sand and water will make you scramble. The greens looked beautiful and putted very true.
nice improvements
the best conditions I have experienced here. great turf on the greens but putt slow. this will improve when they start to cut the overseed down more. new tee decks on #13 and removal of a few overhanging limbs on "otters revenge" make huge difference to playability.

Just enough tight fairways and bunkers to make this course a nice challenge to any level golfer!
Excellent Track
The changes made to the course over the past year have greatly enhanced an already tough and difficult course. That said, it was fun to play.
Side note: Course needs to be listed in the GPS directory. Was NOT able to pull up course on GPS for scoring, distance determination, etc.

Course shows improvement over previous years ...... the greens were smooth but dreadfully slow!

The overseeding has taken nicely with the fairways and greens in excellent condition.

Otter Creek
Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in
good condition. pace of play is extremely slow with no Rangers to pick up the pace.
Sutting down
This course is slated to shutdown May 12 until Sep 2014 for supposed course maintenance and upgrades. The greens and tee boxes were very dry, burnt up, and the closing may be a part of this. The bunkers are not kept up but that seems to be the norm around here unless you play the high end courses.
Very nice course.
In addition to having cold drinking water at every other hole, they also supply you with coolers of ice and cups on a couple of holes. This was very appreciated on a hot, humid day.
Not real long but narrow fairways.
Course was in good condition. Enjoyable course to play.
Otter Creek
Course was in very good condition, very few bad spots. Very challenging course, especially "Otter's Revenge" trio of holes 13 - 15. Will definitely be returning.

Otter Creek
The course is nice with narrow tree lined fairways. There are many doglegs where you must play as such. There is no chance of cutting the corners to shorten the hole. Some of the greens were in poor shape but all were very fast. The rough along the fairways is cut to short. It is very difficult to pick the ball clean or to hold the side of any hill. I will be back to play it again for the challenge.
Play carefully,
This course had extremely short grass on the fairways and soft in many spots, plus there were bare spots all over the fringe of the fairway. One has to be careful on selecting the club on the tee, hitting short is often the call of the day on many holes in order to hit par.
