The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Otter creek
Need to coordinate with rest for meals at turn but ok or good everywhere else.
Excellent course a must visit
This is one of the best courses I played during my present visit to Florida.Very good overall condition.well worth the money I payed to play.Visiting golfers should put this course on their list to play.
its a challenge
greens were good and fairways were in good shape
course is difficult not for the beginner
there is a stretch of 4 holes on the back 9 that are very tough
you can lose your cool in this stretch of holes
if you play them 2 over you've done well - tough
bunkers could use more sand
Holes 13-14-15 challenging
The first nine holes are not overly challenging and fairways are short especially on the gold tees . The white tees do provide a more interesting challenge for low handicappers . The second nine will test your course management skills especially 13 to 15th holes The greens were in excellent shape , relatively flat .
Short, but difficult course. Very tight on some holes
This is definitely a course where you need to leave the driver in the bag on a lot of holes. I enjoyed the scenery, as it is a very beautiful course. #12 thru 15 are very pretty, in the woods. Unfortunately, so was my tee shot on two of these. There is not much room for error. All I have to say is, "you better bring your A game". I will definitely go back to see if I can score a little better next time. Several sets of tees. The senior tees are definitely shorter and make the course playable for the senior residents. The back tees are plenty, even for an advanced player.
Hit it straight.
I have played 15 different courses this winter in Florida. These were the best greens I have seen. I had only 11 putts on the front 9, so they had to rolling true. Only remember 2 holes that played close to any houses.
