RedTail Golf Club

Our regular group of 6 played. Was first rime here for 4 of us. Had 2 tee times but ended up playing together as we were the only ones on the course. Tee boxes are shot as are san bunkers and fairways. Greens are just ok if you consider all the " crab" grass. No regular cart service had to order using GPS in cart. Drinks were brought out in plastic bag with no ice. Coolers on carts had no ice. Nicest carts ever cushy seats and all but how about putting the money into the course?

I do enjoy this course. It has a great layout. The par 5s are gettable and offer a birdie opportunity or double. The par 3s are picturesque with forced carries. There is plenty of sand but the traps were in good shape. The rough was thick and difficult to find a ball. Of course, there is plenty of water too.

I have golfed here quite often thus year. I like the course layout and the price of the round. However the paspalum grass spots in the greens makes for difficult putting. Also pace of play has often been slow, especially on the back nine - last 5 holes especially slow.

We have played this course many times since it opened and love it but this time was totally disappionted. Greens full weeded, tee boxes dirt, sand traps needs weed wackers. No marshall on course so play. Many holes were swamps for over watering. The price was over the rate for condition. I hope things change. Cart person need to be more personable .

Golf carts were the comfiest I’ve been in. Course was nice, greens were a little rough but everything else was great. Recommend.

We teed off around 1130, but came to halt as we caught last groups of the ladies competing in their tournament. We played from their tee-markers, which meant around the 6600-6700yrds, too much for this old guy; but because the greens were rolling so nice (32putts) I still almost broke 80. The greens were fast & nice this day .....some young gal shot 67, and could carry drives over 260, so no slouches. I love Red Tail, nice layout, variety of holes, and with the greens rolling nicely, very fun afternoon Yes, the round was slow, but understand the young ladies competing for prize money putted everything out & had to walk long distances from green to next Tee. Thanx to GN for the Hot Deals ......and I'll be back just to see improvements in conditions at Red Tail.

Conditions were just okay. Greens were bumpy and had patches of other grasses. Fairways were patchy. Course layout was awkward. Too many forced layups.

My wife and I have played here for several years but it has been a year since we have played and we were really disappointed on the conditions. The greens were full of crab grass and bare areas. The fairways were really thin and many of the tee boxes barely had any grass. Worse than that was the pace. Took 5 hours for us as a twosome. I really hope they get the course fixed. One of my favorite lay outs in the area but that will be the last time we play for a while.

My wife & I played with a nice couple from Hawaii told us that the course was very exclusive when originally built I could see that with the lay out and the beautiful entrance way, the Club House and patio was fabulous

The driving range was so dried out I decided not to hit balls fearing injury. The fairways were very sparse and the greens were full of weeds the sand traps were not maintained.

This course would be a Championship calibre course if they could get it in better condition

Challenging course but nice to play.Greens are pretty quick and true. Fairways offer tight lies.

Good day for golfing. Only wish that the course was in better shape. Many of the tee boxes were tore up and in need of repair. Greens were weedy in areas, caused poor ball roll while putting. Patchy grass throughout. Staff was friendly and it was nice to see the cart person several times during the round. Had a good time but not worth $50!

Our cart was programmed to lock up every time we went to fairway. People we played with had no problem. Course was not cart path only. No one from pro shop would answer the phone or return messages. We were on Hole 10 before we were able to contact a manager with assistance of Kim, the Cart Person and have another cart brought to us. Very poor customer service. As a result we will not return nor recommend it to others.

Very good layout and a good test of golf. Enough tee boxes for all skill levels. The course was in generally good condition but I was disappointed in the condition of the greens. They putted fine and they wouldn’t keep me from coming back soon, but I’ve seen them in much better condition. I definitely recommend this course.
