The Lincoln Hills Golf Club - Hills Course

I play the orchard course weekly, both great courses, I forgot how great the Hills was!

I play this course a few times a year. Of the two courses here this is the one most people want to play. Greens were in pretty good shape, wish people would repair their divots. Sand traps were good and fairways were good but again wish people would repair their divots. Overall this is a very nice course, it is a little challenging but you will have a nice time playing it.

Conditions really let this course down. The fairways were over-watered with sprinklers running on some holes at noon. I had mud balls all day. The bunkers were appalling, seeming to not have been raked/conditioned in weeks. The pace of play was quite slow even on a Monday (although I can understand this on a retirement community course). The course is reasonably designed with some interesting holes, but that's not enough to justify my drive from East Sacramento given the major drawbacks.

I should have known better than to try and play a quick round at a Del Webb course. Went as a single and was told the course was wide open. Got stuck behind a twosome (who wouldn't acknowledge me) who were behind a slow foursome. Over 100 degrees and the beverage cart made one appearance and a couple of the water jugs were completely empty. Round took almost 5 hours. Probably won't be going back to Lincoln Hills any time soon.

The course grounds were in very good condition, as usual. The facilities were clean, as usual.

Wow, love the course! Excellent course layout with some challenging holes. Pace of play was outstanding! Played the course in 3 1/2 hours. Highly recommend to play. Very friendly staff.

The course has a nice layout. Fair, but challengeing. It is rare that this course goes on sale, so I jumped at the opportunity. Glad I did.

This is a fun, fair course. It is always in good condition and well maintained. It has excellent drainage and hence is not soggy during the rainy season.

Course in beautiful condition except for parts of a couple of tee boxes. Understood that a ladies tournament was scheduled to start shotgun on holes 1-7. Played 6 holes in 1 hour arriving at 7 as ladies did who promptly told us the course was theirs and we needed to leave. Clubhouse (ladies called) told us to skip 3 holes and continue. Par 3 hole could have been completed in 5 minutes.

Booked a tee time at the Hills course and was not allowed to play Hills course. We were switched to the Orchard course due a tournament and we didn't know until we checked in with the starter.

We were looking forward in playing the Hills and left disappointed

Great golf except greens we're just sanded and putting was difficult.

Course is in great shape. Greens were fast due to a tournament in the morning and the pins were tucked but I like a challenge. Overall the fairways were great and the rough is a bit thick due to the rain but again it makes it a challenge to hit the middle. Bunkers are soft and fluffy. The only issue was the pace of play.

Course jn good shape both fairways and greens. Pace of play is slow expect a 5 hour round.

There should always be a warning that a course is being aerated before we book. Greens were very bumpy and sandy that day. I played twilight so I thought I got it for cheap. The course should've brought that price lower for the conditions. No marshalls, that's fine. But people in this course seem to forget how pace of play should be again. There were 3 in our group following another 3. We're creeping up them and they were following a 2some. We eventually became a foursome with a person behind us and we're still catching up to these guys playing 2 balls a hole. Be warned.

Played the orchard side many times and now the hills is my favorite of the two. Lots of water makes it challenging and pretty to look at.

Course was beautiful. Unfortunately we yfollowed a five some that made it a six hour round. Tee times were scheduled 8 minutes apart. We had three groups on the tee every tee. I will not return to this course.

Good variety of left and right and up and down holes. Nice fairways, huge landing areas. Nice people. Medium size greens had just been punched but it looked like they could be tricky.
