About

Windy Harbor Golf Club is a military golf course located at the Mayport Naval Station, it was formerly known as the Mayport Golf Club. The seaside course now takes its name from the blustery ocean breezes that sweep through the back nine. The golf course is narrow with tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens that are slightly sloped. There is also a defined cut of rough beside every fairway. Greenside bunkers and water hazards that come into play on nearly every hole make the course challenging for players of all abilities. Windy Harbor Golf Club also has practice facilities for golfers to use that include a driving range with grass and carpeted practice tees, a practice sand trap, and a large putting green.

For the price it’s a steal.

Course was in pretty dang good shape, greens were rolling true. Absolutely worth playing, the price point just makes it that much better.

First time playing Windy Harbor, just got my MWR card, lol. Will return and encourage friends to get their MWR card so we can play. Nice course, tough, tough, tough rough. Greens were hard, but nice.

Wind makes Windy Harbor

Conditions on the course are great. With the exception of some rough spots on a few greens they are in great shape. Hoping the practice green can be reopened soon but looks like it will be a while longer.

Just ok

Greens were spotty on front side frairways in good shape. The only reason I am a bit harsh on my review is because people behind us were complaining to the cart girl that we were to slow. We had picked up a single at 10 and that made us a 4 sum the group behind was 3. It was nice weather and if you are in that big of a hurry go to the bowling alley and get off the course. As it was we did 18 at right at 4 hours.

Still a value

The greens are improving but still have a lot of bad spots. Still having problems with the carts. Hate them. Disappointing after being closed for so long last year, upgraded carts and a significant price increase. Still a value given the cost of golf going up everywhere.
