Windy Harbor Golf Club is a military golf course located at the Mayport Naval Station, it was formerly known as the Mayport Golf Club. The seaside course now takes its name from the blustery ocean breezes that sweep through the back nine. The golf course is narrow with tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens that are slightly sloped. There is also a defined cut of rough beside every fairway. Greenside bunkers and water hazards that come into play on nearly every hole make the course challenging for players of all abilities. Windy Harbor Golf Club also has practice facilities for golfers to use that include a driving range with grass and carpeted practice tees, a practice sand trap, and a large putting green.

Great Value - Weather True to the Name
I play Windy Harbor on a fairly regular basis - it's a good alternative when our course is closed. Staff is very friendly and food is really good. Greens were a little rough with some bad areas here and there - heard they had some issues with flooding a few months back that caused some problem with the greens. Generally, course was fine and pace of play was awesome.

Play was stopped
Play was going well until the 12th hole when a major rain storm with lightning, thunder and wind crashed down on everybody, Everybody was running for cover and got soaking wet. The storm didn't stop, flodded everything for more than hour and ended play for the day.
