Windy Harbor Golf Club

We've played Windy Harbor a few times now as we have MWR cards - must have for civilians! The course has always been in good shape, especially the greens. We've never seen rangers on the course though or beverage carts. The restrooms both on and off the course are pretty rough but the pro shop is great and grill is fine, nothing special but this is a military course. The green fees are outstanding for the course conditions. The front 9 is tricky with a few blind doglegs and back 9 is more straightforward.

This course was inside of a military base and requires military pass or background check to access. This was not brought to my knowledge until I showed up to the gate. To access this coarse it requires a background check that can take up to 3 weeks per the pro shop.

The coarse may be nice but I feel like this should have been made more apperent especially for people that are on vacation and not familiar with the area. We had to skip our reservation and rebook else where.

This is a great course, it rewards good shots. You will use most clubs in your bag if not all. Greens are well maintained and roll true.. I have played NAS Jax and they do a nice job there also, but overall this course is more challenging...

The usual golf etiquette, arriving at least 30mins. Prior to 01:43 tee time. Nobody else is at the 1st tee of the course but our 4some and one walker (who started on the 10th tee). No one else but a total of 5 of us on the whole course, we were held up and not allowed to tee off even a minute early than our 01:43 tee time!!! I don't understand the logic. Either the starter is biased (we happened to be neither "white nor black") , ignorant or arrogant or all of it! !! Isn't that RIDICULOUS!!!?

A few bad spots here and there and the patches need water. Not a big deal. If you have an MWR card go play it.

It had been a while since I played here and I was pleased with what I saw. All greens were in great shape with the exception of 18. Fairways and tees for the most part were in good shape. Back nine a little more interesting than the front. I would recommend playing this course if you can obtain the special pass to get on the base.

Course in fantastic shape. Only wish they had a cart girl after 2. Especially on a Saturday.

This course has a nice layout and is kept in very good condition

It was windy but with the heat it helped to make it tollerable. Shot the best round of the year with a 76 on 7/6! The heat has made some greens a little spotty, buth tees, fairways and rough are all in great shape.

Great course & my wife loves colorful plants. Will probably walk when weather cools. Ball actually draws back on greens

The course was great..... They were doing renovations to the bridges, other than that the greens were excellent, pace of play was great. Really had a good time!! I will be back.

ALWAYS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FROM TEE BOXES THUR GREENS. BEST COURSE FOR THE MONEY IN JACKSONVILLE. ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THE STAFF MAKES YOU WAIT UNTIL THE EXACT TEE TIME EVEN WHEN NO OTHER GOLFERS ARE THERE.

Nice course. Windy most of the time.

Have been playing Windy Harbor for several years. For the heavy amount of play the course gets it is always in great condition. Greens are in excellentshape and roll true.

One of the best in the city and the fees are very easy on the wallet.

Course fairways bear and sand has rocks or shells in them. Greens in good shape.

Starting at the club level. Staff are great. Restaurant a 4.5 star. The greens and fareway immaculate. In all this course willvsee me more often than others!

Very windy day kept many people off the course. Didn't hit a slowdown until the 14th. Greens were fast and the wind was in play the whole time.
