Callippe Preserve Golf Course

Wonderful day..The pro shop people were attentive, the starter was funny and welcoming .and the course is in great shape. Wish I could play there more often

It was very warm day and water was not Available on the back nine plus No Marshall on back nine which made for 3 hr nine. This Slow play 5 + hours keeps this course from being the best public course in no cal. Course in very good condition and greens rolling true even with mid day start

Course conditions were just ok. Very spotty in the fairway.. Greens were in decent shape. Don’t understand why it takes 5 1/2 hours to play. Waited almost 20 minutes (3 groups) at the turn. Pace needs to be monitored and enforced. Challenging yet fun layout.

We had a very enjoyable round. The amenities on the course were great . Water stations restrooms. Pace of play was great. We will go back it was nice.

Staff is very friendly. From the pro shop to the starter to the course maintenance crew. Excellent conditions with the exception of the bunkers. Many bunkers had not been raked.

Great views and great golfing experience!

I live in the area and always forget how beautiful and peaceful this round of golf can be. Greens ROLL! Fairways in superb condition. It's target golf for sure which makes it more even when I'm playing with the long hitters. The only problem I had was the sand traps were wet and difficult to play out of. Otherwise worth every penny and I'll be there again soon!!!!

It was my first time playing at this course. There are some challenging holes but since we were not familiar with the course, we were not sure of the distance lay up distance or to cross the scrub. I believed if we do play this course again, scores will be much better.

Perfect day, slow play in Sunday afternoon, but players are nice and keep moving, the course is well maintained, price is reasonable, good course to enjoy.

Tough course with lots of wildlife restricted areas. Course is well maintained greens were average with lots of unrepaired ball marks.

Layout is fantastic with some beautiful views. It was my first time playing here in 9 months and I have to say, I was disappointed by the condition of the greens and bunkers. I'd be hard-pressed to pay their regular $63 rate to play fairly bumpy greens and crusty or soggy bunkers. I'll play here in the future because the layout is tremendous

We had a 6:10 AM tee time and pretty much had the course to ourselves going out that early. Everything about this course was outstanding!! The greens and fairways were perfect. It had just the right mix of challenging and forgiving. The only knock I can think of is on a couple tee boxes we had a herd time finding flat ground but for the most part the tee boxes were very good.

We will definitely play here again and at about the same time of day.. Absolutely worth the early morning drive from the city.. about 45 minutes from SanFran with no traffic!!

I played on a Friday afternoon and was joined by a couple. The pace was ok. The greens were challenging as always with undulations and false fronts. It's a short course at 6k yards but the wind and elevated greens can make it longer. The course gets harder as you play so try and make pars or better early in the round because the back nine you are sure to give some back. Plenty of challenges for the mid to low handicapper, beginners beware.

I am new enough to enjoy all challenges. I started golf about a year ago and I have to say to only way to better is to challenge oneself.

Was told that the Callippe was a great course, but wait times could be a real issue on weekends, so play during the week. I played on a Thursday as a single. Standard driving range that allowed hitting off of grass. A bit of disorganization with the starter (teed off 10 minutes early). Was paired up with two others at a similar skill level (~10 handicap). Course was well maintained with a few interesting holes. Not overly challenging, but a great round. Best of all, even with a 3-some of good players, we barely waited all day. Enjoyed the round, will play here again and would recommend to a friend.

Played here for the first time and was really impressed. The layout is interesting and offers some risk/reward, including some drive-able par 4s if the conditions were right. The course was in excellent condition from tee to green and was a great value @ $65 per person. I'd rank it up there with Wente as far as views and condition but a better value (and Wente is a good value too!)

Very nice pleasant course. Some bunkers were hard as rock. Need grooming.
