Miccosukee Golf & Country Club - Dolphin Course

Booked through the course initially and asked for any discounts, Al advised no discounts for Friday’s. Went on Golf Now found 40$ discount and booked. Had to wait until after lunch but was planned anyway. I advised the GN booking and was charged the full price initially after requesting the lower rate. Received a refund but didnt need to go through that hassle. Returned at the time for the discount and was told taxes would apply, contrary to the GN confirmation. Very slow rate of play and over booked, I will probably not be back.

There's a lot to like about Miccosukee; interesting and difficult layout (especially when the wind blows, which it usually does), decently maintained greens, fairways and rough, decent staff, and a 19th hole that's nothing fancy but consistently good and a bargain. The one glaring exception is the bunkers, which even days after rains are hard-packed and inconsistent.

Pricing could also be better (it would be nice to see a senior rate again), especially since there are so few places to play in SW Miami Dade.

Course is in great shape despite the recent hurricane.

I've wanted to play here for quite some time and I wasn't disappointed .

Great staff and the course was outstanding. A few holes you need to see once or twice to be sure if your lines but otherwise it was great.

Took a flyer on this course because I'm always looking for new courses to experience. Have to admit I was very pleasantly surprised. Staff was awesome (John, the starter, especially), course was in good shape, greens weren't holding all that well since it was fairly dried out but they putted true and fairly quick. Suffice it to say I will return and play here again. Very enjoyable round of golf!

This course is a very good course to play. The greens were excellent. They are unulated and very rarely do you have a straight put. I truly enjoyed the greens. Also, the course condition was very good. A great course to play.

Need more yardage markers for those of us without GPS. Maybe add a few more water coolers on the course, somewhere to get Ice. Everything considered it was a nice track and good day out. Very friendly staff.

Came in from Maryland and was really looking forward to this course and was not disappointed. As soon as we walked in everyone was extremely friendly. The guy working the desk was awesome!!! He got us in and out, had a great attitude and did a good job of directing us where to go, since it was 3 9 hole courses. We played marlin and dolphin. Started on marlin and starter was just as nice as guy in the pro shop. It was saturday morning and the started said no rush to get out cause at that time no one behind us. My mom hit the range while i putted. Range was good and so was the putting green. While we were warming up a twosome walk on beat us to the box. As we finished warming up they did not tee off yet. Me and mom were in no rush cause we knew no one was gonna be behind us but the walk on twosome and the starter basically said for us to go ahead of them, which doesnt happen at all in the DC Metro area. Marlin was great. Tee boxes in great shape. Greens rolled well even though they had been punched recently. Rough was thick but nicely cut. It looks low but the ball sets down in it so either find a landmark of where you land or just be good and stay out the rough. Bring some extra balls cause there is a lot of water. Fairways were in great shape. No official comment on bunkers cause it poured rain the night before so the bunkers were wet but the course drained really well. Only played 5 on dolphin cause had to get back for family outing. Dolphin seemed just as nice as marlin but the holes were a little shorter distance wise. Another shot out to the staff cause maybe after hole 3 or 4 on dolphin the next hole is on the other side of the club house. Starter told me where to go at begining of round but it was really hot out and by that time i forgot. Asked an employee where the next hole was and he didnt tell me where to go he stopped what he was doing and drove us around to the tee box. Service was excellent!!! I recommend this course.

The course is in great shape. Very challenging. Lots or water and sand traps. Definitely will be back soon.

I always enjoy playing this course when I visit Miami, course is in great condition as always, pace was good for a holiday weekend.

It's a nice layout but wish it was in better shape. Spotty fairways and greens. A lot of water but the wide fairways help you keep the ball dry. Having 27 holes makes it an excellent option. Very friendly staff. Would only play if the price is right. Very windy which makes you have to hit extra club often. Only 25 minutes away from the airport.

Played here yesterday with a couple of buddies. We're all about bogey golfers, so we're not expecting ideal conditions on the course, but this was something else. Lets start with the tee boxes - I don't think there was a single tee box on the course that was level. In addition, none of the boxed has actual grass growing, so you had to hit out of dirt on the par 3's. The greens were recently aerated, which I'm fine with. However, I'm not ok with the fact that nobody told us the greens were aerated, and we would not have played the course knowing that. The rest of the course was in decent shape, except for the lack of distance markers. Overall, if you pay anything more than $30 to play 18 (we paid $55), you're getting jipped.

Challenging setup, but both course marlin and dolphin recently had the greens aerated. It would have been nice to have been notified prior to the round about this. The greens were very frustrating to putt on all day. It's a shame really, they held nicely and the rest of the course was in good shape.
