The First Tee of Monterey County

About
The par 31 golf course is 1850 yards in length and has four par 4 holes that range between 250 yards and 375 yards. Located in North Salinas adjacent to the Creekbridge housing development the course replaces Sherwood Greens Golf Course, which was closed in 1998. The course of gentle rolling hills with USGA greens is surrounded by protected wetlands, Natividad Creek and Gabilan Creek with vistas of the Gabilan and Santa Lucia mountain ranges. The First Tee of Monterey County (formerly known as Twin Creeks Golf Course) is a complete facility offering 9-hole and 18-hole rounds of golf, a fully equipped practice and teaching facility complete with golf carts. The 5000 square foot Clubhouse contains a pro-shop and a snackbar that is available for meetings, parties and banquets. The First Tee of Monterey County is a fun facility that will challenge the experienced golfer while providing excellent learning opportunities for youth and the novice golfer.

Great place to practice with irons
Ì love coming here to practice my irons greens were smooth pace was great at my time love the practice area
Only three real holes. Needs to close for clean up and redo of the course.
Disappointed, 3 holes out of the nine are closed. Holes 1-3 are closed. Great place to golf when you don’t have time for 18 holes. However, website should inform golfers that 3 holes are closed prior to the booking of a tee time. So they understand they can only play 6 holes.
Holes 1-3 were shut down due to the recent storms. They did however tell us it was all you can play for $25
Great for beginners!
I am a beginner level golfer and this short 9 hole course is perfect for me and for beginners like myself.
Relaxing
A great way to get in a quick nine . Course is in good shape. The young people working there are terrific.
great to practice short game
Love to come here to practice my short game the times i play is great no waiting to hit shots greens are well taking care of great practice area too staff very friendly
Quick 9 or 8
If you want a cheap, short, quick 8 or 9 holes of golf, this is the perfect place to play. There is often 1 hole closed for the use of the students Monday-Friday. I'll pay the $12, but don't think it's worth $25.
Fun course.
Greast greens but challanging fairways in some areas.
