Killian Greens Golf Club
About
Popular among locals, the course at Killian Greens Golf Club is affordable and challenging. The golf course is quite narrow and built on flat terrain, making it easy to walk. Although there is little elevation change, the greens are sloped and firm. The fairways are narrow and there are sand bunkers situated throughout the course. Canals and lakes create water hazards that come into play on 14 holes. The course features three sets of tees to adapt the game to a variety of different skill levels and abilities. Killian Green Golf Club also boasts a special learning program for kids on their practice course.

Nice course, but no bathrooms???
The course was pretty well groomed but we found sand on the greens. Surprised that there were no bathrooms once you left the pro shop/restaurant. No eating tables outdoors at the restaurant which is a shame for those of us not eating indoors due to the pandemic. Scary crossing the fast moving road back and forth to get through 18 holes. Our cart was a little funky and often hard to start. But it was a lot of acreage for the dollar, so not complaining. It was clearly built before the highways that border it were built. Would have loved to golf there when it was in the midst of farmland and not traffic.
GOOD BEGINNERS COURSE
The first, third and ninth hole are the most difficult on this 6500 yard layout from back tees. Good public course.
Owner Policies
This review is not about the course or its employees. It is about the owner and his/hers policies. I have played 12 rounds since Feb. 12 at an average of $40 per round for two players it is over $800. Today I showed up for my 8:00 Am tee time I had for 3 players. Unfortunately one of my friends was sick and canceled this morning. To my amazement I was told I needed to pay for all 3 because I did not provide 24 hours notice. I am not sure how you can know 24 hours in advance if someone is going to be sick. Based on this policy I assume they would rather you play sick and be infectious rather than be compassionate.
I will continue playing here because I enjoy the golf course. Although I can not accept rules that hurt customers. I make all my tee times through Golf Now and will post this review there as well.
Thanks
Had to wait with my group of 3 one hour and 30 minutes to get our golf cart. The line for the first tee was about 15 golf carts in front of us. Course was in good condition but started the day bad due to delay of carts. Thanks.
The Pond
I’ve been playing this course off and on for 20 years. It’s the backyard. The close course for me a lot of buddies. It’s convenient and priced fairly. In the past the greens were an embarrassment. They would tend to the visible greens from the road way. But the interior out of site greens were for the most part, unplayable.
The new owners have put a lot of work in this place. The 2nd hole green used to look like a bomb had hit it. I played it last weekend and what a difference. They have put money back into the course, the green fees haven’t gotten cheaper. But I can see where the money is going.
Pace of play is terrible . I made a tee time for 2:40. No starter! We teed off behind a two some at 3:10.
GET A STARTER! And fix your bunkers!!! Otherwise not bad at all. Greens looked and rolled true.
