Briar Bay Golf Course
About
Briar Bay Golf Course, opened in 1975, is an affordably priced executive course that stretches out over 30 acres. The course presents challenges for all players, beginning to advanced. The layout features elevated greens that are small and fast, narrow fairways that are protected with bunkers. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. Although it is located near a residential area the course promises an interesting layout that goes in every direction. Briar Bay Golf Course facility lacks some of the amenities of a private club, but they do boast a practice green and a clubhouse.

Briar Bay
Nice course
Surprisingly challenging for an executive 9 hole course
Briar Bay
Good value friendly staff good 9 hole course during week day’s.
Payment
No matter how you advertise, they always charge 20$… wasting time try to explain that we book through this app.. is 20 dollars or not play.
Great venue.
The course is only a 9-holer but, you'll have to think your way around it or you'll find yourself in the water or off the course. You can use your driver but you don't need it. It's a pleasant challenge for any golfer.
All around really bad course for years now.
Went to briar bay for its location, for years I have been coming here and it’s become more and more frustrating, they ignore tee times, there’s no organization when it comes to scheduling times and amount of players, they have a golf cart shortage, they have very swampy areas, also they have very big knots and holes on their greens. Beautiful sights with all the lakes and animals aside from this the course is just a 1 out 5 everytime and never seems to Progress at all.
Horrible Experience
Course was overbooked. Pace was ridiculously slow following a groups of 5 walkers. Got paired up with a total jerk and his pal. Jerk decided it was a good idea to talk smack about my son and it all went downhill from there. Picked up my ball from the first green and walked away before having a fight. Staff was very responsive and apologetic and offered us a rain check but weren’t able to do it because I booked through GolfNow.
Great short game practice
My first time at an executive course. Conditions were alternating rain and sun (Florida weather is interesting) which affected play but greens and grass conditions were ok. It was a great short game practice and short par3 practice for sure, which will help my overall game as a new golfer. Decent green hills was good chip practice compared to a lot of flat Florida greens.
Staff members were friendly and great.
This course and GolfNow are not in agreement.
The rate that GolfNow advertises is not allowed at this course. I paid for $25 for 18 holes, and when I arrived to the course I was told I can only play 9 holes and pay extra to play another 9 holes. The staff advised that you can only reserve to play 9 holes online. The course only has 9 holes so I figured I would play around twice. However, when I arrived they even posted a sign in the window saying that what GolfNow advertises is wrong. The staff advised that they attempted to reach out to GolfNow, but have been ignored. GolfNow also takes a percentage of the payment before you are told to pay the rest at the course. The staff at Briar are great, but the course was a little beat up this winter season. Hopefully GolfNow can fix this and make things right!
