Briar Bay Golf Course
About
Briar Bay Golf Course, opened in 1975, is an affordably priced executive course that stretches out over 30 acres. The course presents challenges for all players, beginning to advanced. The layout features elevated greens that are small and fast, narrow fairways that are protected with bunkers. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. Although it is located near a residential area the course promises an interesting layout that goes in every direction. Briar Bay Golf Course facility lacks some of the amenities of a private club, but they do boast a practice green and a clubhouse.

Great short game practice
My first time at an executive course. Conditions were alternating rain and sun (Florida weather is interesting) which affected play but greens and grass conditions were ok. It was a great short game practice and short par3 practice for sure, which will help my overall game as a new golfer. Decent green hills was good chip practice compared to a lot of flat Florida greens.
Staff members were friendly and great.
This course and GolfNow are not in agreement.
The rate that GolfNow advertises is not allowed at this course. I paid for $25 for 18 holes, and when I arrived to the course I was told I can only play 9 holes and pay extra to play another 9 holes. The staff advised that you can only reserve to play 9 holes online. The course only has 9 holes so I figured I would play around twice. However, when I arrived they even posted a sign in the window saying that what GolfNow advertises is wrong. The staff advised that they attempted to reach out to GolfNow, but have been ignored. GolfNow also takes a percentage of the payment before you are told to pay the rest at the course. The staff at Briar are great, but the course was a little beat up this winter season. Hopefully GolfNow can fix this and make things right!
Good course to practice on
I had to I had to wait over a half hour past my tee time because the course ran out of golf carts they only have 16 on the entire course. Also they have no Ranger so the pace of play is extremely slow!
Mislead by golf now
Golf now showed this course as an 18 hole with cart included. When I arrived at the course the club house was a shed, and the course is only a 9 hole course. The golf now price only gets you 1 round, but they try to sell you on a second time through for half price. Pace of play was terrible as I sat in the second tee box for 30 min before leaving the course. Conditions of course was not bad though.
Affordable Course
This is not a course for an event or for the appearances and amenities. It is solely for improvement and to get better. Price is good and the course layout can be challenging with a couple of holes but overall great for beginners. Not intimidating but could use better carts and amenities. Overall good experience for the price.
Great value course
Very slow pace for beginners but the course is tough with the traps and water on a lot of holes. The tee boxes were destroyed and had tons of divots.
Worst Experience Ever
I will never play at Briar Bay or book through Teeoff again. I arrived 20 minutes early as you shoukd to be told they have limited working carts and they are an hour behind on tee times. I was there with my wife and two kids who really wanted to okay so we were going wait, but then the lady at the desk decided to let one of the foursomes in front of us to ha e another foursome join them since they were regulars. I asked her why would she allow that since they didn't have a tee time, and they were already way behind. She said because they're regulars and friends of hers. Infuriating and unprofessional. Tried calling Teeoff to get a refund or at least a credit, but their message said the lines were busy and someone would call us back and we wouldn't lose our place in line. We'll 24 hours later, still no call back. $80 lost. Never again!
Very Good course
The course requires that you play your best shots. If you get too aggressive, you'll definitely lose a few golf balls. It's a very enjoyable venue.
