Very enjoyable
I really enjoyed playing golf today at Dublin golf course. It was a fun outing and the coarse is very nice.
Greens in rough shape
It appears that they have either had a disease or just aren't caring for the greens like they used to. I realize that they recently aerated the greens, which is totally acceptable, but there was no notice on the GolfNow website nor was there a notice at the clubhouse that the greens would be so sandy. The staff was very friendly although there were no on course food options and the restaurant/bar was closed, likely for COVID-19 concerns.
pace of play
The problem was there was a handicapped 5 some in front of us that was slow. Now there's no problem with disabled people playin but can they make a slow group like that a 3 some?? i mean this was group was already slow,but 5 was way to many!!
Slow
They book tee times every ten minutes, you wait at every hole

A decent practice place
The course has a cool layout and you get to hit every club. Down sides: greens are always shaggy, do not putt here and then putt on a better place cause it will really screw you up. Slow play. I swear I saw a six-some yesterday. Really. It tends to attract less serious golfers. When you catch this place and not too crowded it's great. It's a fun place to knock it around but the slow play at times is maddening. Staff is always really nice, been playing here for a decade.
Stay off the greens
The greens were in terrible condition on April 17. They had recently been plugged and were very rough. A couple hole also had temporary greens.
Glory Days
In over 60 years of playing golf I'm pressed to come up with a course in as poor a condition as Dublin Ranch (played 4-15-21). The greens were like aerated hard pan, the fairways were dried out and spotty and I hope they got a discount on "Ground Under Repair" signs as there were at least 50 of them throughout the premises. Yes, I know "Pandemic, Pandemic" but even with a Tee Off coupon you'd be much better off with a bucket of balls at a practice range and a lunch at McDonald's. This course used to be a well-maintained gem with large, smooth greens and generally manicured throughout. Sadly, no more...
Staff amazing great course layout
Definitely one of my favorite golf courses Beautiful views from every hole. Staff very helpful friendly and professional Exciting long par 3 holes makes for a great challenge to my game
