Dublin Ranch Golf Course

I've played Dublin Ranch many times in the past. I quit playing about 5 years ago and this was my first time back. I had told my friend how good the course used to be. But we were disappointed. Due to water restrictions, they don't water the fairways. Therefore, most of the fairways are just dirt. But the worst thing was the greens. DR always used to have good greens, but this time, they were torn up and very bumpy. Its like they hadn't been rolled in months and hadn't been cut in days. Really bad. I used to play there a lot, but I don't think I'll go back again. Not for those prices.

I really enjoyed playing golf today at Dublin golf course. It was a fun outing and the coarse is very nice.

It appears that they have either had a disease or just aren't caring for the greens like they used to. I realize that they recently aerated the greens, which is totally acceptable, but there was no notice on the GolfNow website nor was there a notice at the clubhouse that the greens would be so sandy. The staff was very friendly although there were no on course food options and the restaurant/bar was closed, likely for COVID-19 concerns.

The problem was there was a handicapped 5 some in front of us that was slow. Now there's no problem with disabled people playin but can they make a slow group like that a 3 some?? i mean this was group was already slow,but 5 was way to many!!

The course has a cool layout and you get to hit every club. Down sides: greens are always shaggy, do not putt here and then putt on a better place cause it will really screw you up. Slow play. I swear I saw a six-some yesterday. Really. It tends to attract less serious golfers. When you catch this place and not too crowded it's great. It's a fun place to knock it around but the slow play at times is maddening. Staff is always really nice, been playing here for a decade.
