Golfer Reviews
Good day for Golf
Despite the sand covered greens, and my driver not hitting straight, it was a great day for golf. Easy time booking, friendly staff upon arrival. Wish I could go here again tomorrow, thanks Dub Ranch. See you soon!
Fun Ciurse
Although the course greens were being treated and repaired the predominately par three course was lots of fun to play.
Condition was horrific
This was by far the worst condition I’ve ever played on a course. The greens had so much sand you had to chip on them instead of putt. I couldn’t believe they charge what they do for the condition. Was very very disappointed. Used to love this course but it’s gone to trash unfortunately. Wish I took pictures because it was horrific.
Always love playing here
Although their aerating the greens, it still is a wonderful place to place. Marshall is great...pace of play was pretty fast. 11 Par 3s so prepare for precision play. Hilly so good place to practice your stance. Overall a wonderful course and we always enjoyed playing here.
STAY AWAY
If putting out of the bunker is your thing then this is the place for you.
Stay away until they bring the price down to below $25..
Greens under repair.
The course is great, however the greens need work. They are working hard to make the necessary repairs, but they meet more time. A couple of sunny weeks and everything will be great.
Horrible greens!
The greens are in horrible shape...most are filled 50% with sand while other areas look diseased. Sand traps are cement and unplayable. We unfortunately had a three-some jump in front of us so that they could play with the other three buddies -- thus we had delays on the back 9 due to six knuckleheads 20-something hackers (no Course Marshal in site.
Given the shape of the greens/sand traps, fees should be more discounted.
Memories
We use to love this short course. Great conditions, beautiful greens, lovely fairways and you could play a round in 3 hours. Last Friday we played and it took over four hours to finish. Cart path only, and every place we stopped to walk to our ball we had to walk though mid to get to the fairway. The greens were in terrible shape and had large areas with in grass. These areas were filled in with sand. I won’t be back until they get thie course back in shape.
Decent Up and Down
Fun course, but not in great shape. Greens are 30-50% sand and one often needs to go through some craggles to score, which is very frustrating at times. Bunkers are very wet, and in some cases flooded. Better than Lincoln GC and worth the trip from SF - the views are quite something. Would love to play it when it’s in good shape -
Yardage distance's on the cart paths, color coded.
When we have to stay on the cart paths only the markers on the fairways cannot be seen from the cart path.
Great Value!
We love this course! It’s undergoing tough green conditions and has some patchy spots in the fairways. But they compensate with a discounted fee. The views are tremendous, and it’s a great short course for beginners and intermediate players. Well worth it!
