Dublin Ranch Golf Course

We last played a month ago, they were just punching the greens. Went back today and the course is suffering worst conditions. Every green has a fungus, very little grass and large barren spots on every green. They are both working on. The tee boxes ( all sanded, and punched) as well as numerous bare spots on all the fairways. We have played this course numerous times doing the year- never seen it in worst shape. We will not be returning to this course until it is playable again.

VERY DISAPPOINTED....

This is one of my favorite course before COVID....

It is sad to see the current condition.

Completely disappointed and seem not worth the time and money to play this course at this time.

It needs some resolution with issues on fairways as well as the greens.

I just hope the golf course superintendent can turn this around.

I am not coming back even if you pay me to play.

This course has so much potential. High in the rolling hills of Dublin with panoramic views almost every hole and surrounded by Million dollar homes. I would be absolutely disgusted if I purchased a high end home on a golf course and had to stare at these nasty, diseased, dirt riddled greens. The fairways aren’t much better. Plenty of hard pan bare dirt.

COURSE NEEDS TO BE CLOSED FOR A MONTH OR TWO!

This was the worst condition my wife and I have seen at this course. Dead areas on the greens and unkept sand traps. Bare areas along the fairways. The staff was apologetic but they could not overcome the above issues. Would only play again if the above issues are resolved.

I'm going to start this off by saying . . DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. You're better off throwing in the lottery or better yet in the trash. Previous to my outing on the 24th of October I really wasn't a fan of this place. Ive played here a handful of times and never have I never seen a course, more specifically the greens, in such poor shape. The greens looked and played like you were in the sand trap. It was obvious that they punched the greens within the last week or 2 but this was way worse that just punched greens. And I'm okay with punched greens. But these greens were patchy. Massive portions of the green didn't even have grass growing. It was so bad that you were putting 5 footers like they were 12-15 feet.

Long story short, it was insulting they charged full price, I think it was 65$ total, they could atleast give you a heads up and say something like "just so you know sir, we are letting the greens die... we got a fungus they are in rough shape. Oh and your round is discounted 15$". I mean even a sleeve of balls would do lol Long story short do not waste your money here. Play the Las positas 9 hole course back to back and you'll have a better day for a 3rd the price. Thats my speel, happy golfing! Hit em long and straight.

Course was in very poor shape. All the greens were diseased.

I’ve played here a few times before today, and never had any issues with the conditions. Today, all of the greens were terrible. There was chunks of grass taken out of the greens which made it hard to think about how to putt the ball. Holes that should have been 2 putts turned in to 3-4. I’m not going to come back until 2021 sometime. Hopefully this problem will be fixed in the next couple of months.

I've played here a few times before early in the morning like today, but never remember it being so muddy with no rain - could not keep the cleats clean at all. The greens are simply not good - no fun to putt. It would still be okay for a quick morning round (mainly because we were actually able to get a tee time) if they would simply put some groups together, instead of letting so many singles and doubles out. We played bogey golf in a threesome at 3 hours, but had to let two singles play through and had at least 3 doubles behind us waiting. It's not fun when you always feel like you are holding others up. There is no reason why a single could not have been put with us, and the doubles in the groups behind combined into a couple foursomes. It would have done nothing to the overall pace of play for everyone.

Almost of greens on this course were in terrible condition. The layout was ok, a lot of par 3s I was expecting some more long par 4s and 5s. The staff were friendly. For the price it wasn’t bad. But the course overall seemed pretty beat up not sure if it’s due to the surge in first time golfers or it being the end of summer or what. I would like to try this course again in the spring time to see if it’s any better.

I write this with a heavy heart because I used to enjoy this course. It was always a fun one to play and a good place to work on irons. The green used to be in good shape. The greens seem to be diseased and management has not been able to get it under control. Many greens are covered with large dirt/sand spots with zero grass on it. It's just sad. Absolutely not worth 62 dollars during primetime.

One of the few flat courses in the Bay Area. Fairways like carpet. Nice layout.

The greens were in rough shape! I should have made way more putts but they were so choppy that my ball just bounced all around... it was a fun course though! Had a good time! But the greens made it tough! And there was no forgiveness as far as softness of greens or fairway... even if you hit a nice lofty shot, the green just made it roll for a mile!

After playing golf all over the world over the past 55 years I have never played a course in such bad condition. Absolutely the worse course condition from tee to green I have ever experienced . The greens were reduced to dirt and grass patches that had not been mowed for days. OVERALL CONDITION WAS AND IS UNACCEPTABLE. Free is an excessive fee to charge for this cow pasture that is being passed off as a golf course.

This is a great course to work on you short game and long irons. Love this course !!

Love playing here just wish the course conditions and upkeep were more consistent
