The Links at Summerly
About
The Links at Summerly borders Lake Elsinore, southern California's largest natural lake. The Ortega Mountains and the Cleveland Natural Forest are also the golf course's neighbors. Although it feels nicely secluded, the Links are conveniently just minutes from Temecula. The design tumbles across a rolling terrain that is accented with 3 miles of Scottish-style burns. The natural mounding was deftly incorporated throughout the golf course. The rugged landscape, reminiscent of courses in the British Isles, gives it the look and feel of a traditional links layout. It is a formidable test that features heavily undulated fairways and an abundance of kidney-shaped bunkers. Although there are some tricky holes, each one was designed to offer several different playing strategies. Thought and imagination are required, but you will also have to use every club in your back to navigate the twists and turns of the Links at Summerly.

Good COURSE
Great course layout and obstacles, need to recover fairways.
Getting the attention it has needed!
Pleasantly surprised to find they are doing a ton of good renovations to the fairways here. A little bummed my favorite hole (par 5 #13) was knocked down to a par 3 due to major work on the fairway, but it has needed it for a while. Hoping #15 is next, as I can't remember the last time that fairway actually had some grass on it.
Greens are in their typical phenomenal shape, and the course overall is in the best shape its been in a while. And talk about pace of play! Played 36 today in 5 hours and 20 minutes!
Remember, It’s Links
For the price it’s a decent course to play. The fairways are hard with short grass, but that’s a characteristic of links. There are many nicer courses around, but the prices are correspondingly higher. The driving range uses actual turf, not mats. Very nice staff throughout. They could use a marshall on occasion. Came across one group with more than six players who were all beginners and playing very slowly. I’m sure they weren’t booked that way but just joined together after they got started. I like that it’s different than the other courses. Hope it survives.
Getting worse
The course conditions are getting worse the fairways are really bad on a few holes big patches of hard pan dirt. bunkers are terrible greens are OK the collars are all dead grass around the greens.
Untitled
Coarse has been improved. Resoding has been done in a lot of areas. The greens were firm but playable
Nice links course with fast greens
The Links at Summerly is a fun course to play especially if you like links golf courses. The condition of the course was in fair condition due to dry fairways.
Some bunkers were sparse also. The greens were fast and in good condition. If you have a GPS with each hole layout then it would make some of the holes easier as there are drainage ((hazard) ditches which are blind on many shots. Pace of play for weekend was good. We will definitely play course again.
This is course is horrible!!!
The course fairways are in poor condition patched up with painted grass the layout is confusing cannot till where the greens are located now sand in traps hard clay their are burns running throughout the course and their gps {you have to payfor} dosen't show you exactly where they run only pro is the green are in good shape tryed to get a beer on the 19th hole during their happy hour but they where out of draft beer that says it all will not go back kinda feel RIP off at any price
Wow!
I played this course when it 1st opened. I loved it! A few other times also. I came back 1 year ago, it seemed to start coming back to life. (A lil) I came back today to give it another shot. Wow....Its still in horrible shape. I did read the other review so I gave it a try. It hurts me to write this review. Other players must know the truth though. The back 9 really needs to be taken care of a lil more. Again sorry for this review. Best of luck to y'all pulling this course together. I hope to come back again when things are better. I will not give up on y'all!
Much improved
Much improved they have now removed all the brush out of the Barancas of the course it looks a lot cleaner to the eye much-needed on the other hand the fairways are struggling in some spots summer better than others the greens are good they don’t look great very patchy different grass is growing but they roll well and hold well still a lot of work to do keep it up
It’s not a bad course
When I moved here 5 years ago it was like playing on dirt. We named it the dirt pit course and now it’s has grass on most of the fairway’s. Kudos to Larry and his team to get this course in back in shape.
