The Links at Summerly
About
The Links at Summerly borders Lake Elsinore, southern California's largest natural lake. The Ortega Mountains and the Cleveland Natural Forest are also the golf course's neighbors. Although it feels nicely secluded, the Links are conveniently just minutes from Temecula. The design tumbles across a rolling terrain that is accented with 3 miles of Scottish-style burns. The natural mounding was deftly incorporated throughout the golf course. The rugged landscape, reminiscent of courses in the British Isles, gives it the look and feel of a traditional links layout. It is a formidable test that features heavily undulated fairways and an abundance of kidney-shaped bunkers. Although there are some tricky holes, each one was designed to offer several different playing strategies. Thought and imagination are required, but you will also have to use every club in your back to navigate the twists and turns of the Links at Summerly.

Mid-week low round!
I had just resigned from my old job and had a week break before starting my new job.
The weather was perfect and I booked myself a round of golf, mid-week at a The Links at Sommerly, a course I had never played before.
The course has a great layout and I saw less than 10 people on the course that day, which made pace of play really quick.
Managed to shoot my lowest ever round, only the second time I have broken 80, so I was really happy.
Joined up with another single player and had a great day on the golf course.
I will definitely be back to play this course again.
course still getting better. Traps still need work. I hope holes on the back 9, especially 13, get some attention..
Come a long way
Summerly has come a long way in recent months!! The superintendent has done a fantastic job straightening out the irrigation systems and laying a ton of new sod with more to come! And all while maintaining very playable greens. (People have got to learn to repair ball marks!!). And they have made some real progress in the bunkers clearing rocks and debris. I think the future for summerly is bright. Just gotta spread the word!!!
Very bad
This course should have never been built.
Sell the course. No grass , no signs, no direction to the holes . That is not even counting the moats across the whole course. It's just a bad layed out course.
Course Improvement
I am not able to play but wife played. She noted how far along it has come. A lot of work being done. Sand traps are getting much better. She had a good time
So much better! Give it a try!
We played this a year ago and although we enjoyed it the course conditions were a mess. Not today! Fairways have grass! Only a few need a bit of time. Greens were so much better! Fast and fairly true. Tee boxes were great. We love the layout. Strategic yet lots of opportunities to go for it. If you were disappointed before you will be surprised how much better it is now. We were amazed. Give it a try.
Getting better
This course keeps improving with more grass on the fairways and smoother greens. We notice they planted new trees. Even though it was windy it was very enjoyable.
Greatest comeback of all time
As others have said, don't believe the negative reviews you might see. A year ago negative reviews were fact. One could not phathom how a golf course could be open for play with virtually no grass, at any price. Summery was exactly that. Six years ago it was a spectacular golf course. It was then allowed to die off into a dustbowl for whatever reason. NOW! It has been resurrected quickly approaching it former glory. It is looking great. In no time it will be right in the top courses list once again
Thank you Summerly for the comeback.
Don’t be fooled by the bogus ratings
Don’t be fooled by the bogus ratings The course is definitely on the improve today the TVs were cut fertilized and over seeded should be good in a week or two the fairways are getting better overall some hoes are still covered with bare spots but only a few most are good the greens are in very good condition
The course has been getting better very time I play this year
Management has been improving the course ever since they have taken over I have seen 200 percent improvement since I have been playing there in 2013
Course review
Getting better week by week. Still a great layout. Love the burns. It should be back to its original layout soon. Like playing the course.
Course Condition
Starting to look brand new. 13 and 15 need some help along with the sand traps. Overall not to shabby
