Pace of play
Shotgun tournament started before us, so we had to wait on every shot, no readygolf today
Decent!
Played with my father and close friend on a Sunday at 11 am. For 50$ seems like a good deal. The course has so much potential if it was a bit more greener. But regardless it was a good time!
It California
Well our tee time was 7:18am, so to be expected the greens would be wet, well they where soaked. Still no one knows to fix the ball marks, I lost my ball do to it plugging in the fairway. Oh yeah it was 102 degrees outside the day prior
Saturday Golf
The course has improved since the last time we played, about two months ago. The fairways and greens were in much better condition, a lot better than the last time we played.
Another hot day at River Oaks
Played again ad joined up with a couple guys of my skill level that made the day pleasant even if very hot. No drinking water on the course and none I saw available at the check-in which in this heat is a must. That is the only negative I can think of. I've played the course since it opened and always enjoy it. I shot better than the high temperature today which is my current standard in this heat and watched the monstrous fire near Paradise blow up.
Fun day at River Oaks
Had a great day at River Oaks. Played in a threesome and the pace of play had us finished in under 3.5 hours. The staff has worked hard to get some more pace on the greens, and while they will never be “fast” they are much improved. The course is beginning to dry out a little bit due to a lack of water resources, but the overall condition of the course remains excellent. The day was cool, my partner’s were great, and a good time was had by all.
I shot the new standard for my age
The course isn't long from the white tees at 5374 yards and it's been described as not being a hard course but I find it challenging at my skill level. Being 77, the standard at my age is to shoot your age if your a good golfer. Since I'm not, I think the standard should be to shoot the high temperature for the day. Since it was 92 today, I'm happy.
I like the course and it's seldom crowded and backed up in the summer because of the heat..
