River Oaks Golf Club

Beautiful day, a great forgiving course for non pros. It is still challenging for the better players

There is not a nicer condition course for the money in the Sacramento area period. It is drive from Folsom, but it is worth it. I am tired of over paying for dog tracks versus this course.

Very friendly staff from the time you check in.

Course is in great shape the greens were holding and rollin great.

About a hour & a half drive for me but it was worth it. Very fun course and I just like how quiet it is to the point you only hear mostly the wildlife around the course. Thank you Blake had a great time .

Last year at this time, River Oaks' greens were not in good condition overall. This year, they are in excellent condition. Also, fairways look great. There is grass on the fairways and the ball sits up well. Nice to see that the golf course is being very well maintained compared to a year ago.

The golf course is in great shape. I like coming out here once in a while. I just don't like to drive out here too often. There's really nothing out here besides golf.

Play here often. The course has never looked better in my opinion. Unfortunately it lost too many beautiful (and challenging ) trees lately. But fairways and greens play real well. Only concern is unfinished fairways bunkers repairs. Staff is great. Food good, too.

In the high 80’s weather with a little breeze made the play conditions optimal. The staff was very friendly and professional in handling the shortage of the carts , possibly due to all the holes were occupied by the players since the excellent weather condition provided the opportunity to play golf after the long months of absence of the game because of Covid-19 . No marshal was on the field but every was very courteous to each other player and appreciative.

Greens had few worn down spots and will need to be attended and there were just so many geese and ducks, even a couple of turtles on the fairways, spreading debris. It will be a good place to play a round until the heat and humidity prevail . Enjoyed so much today.

A lot of fun to play, the course is great. The guy working in the shop to set you up, should do something else for a job, what a unfriendly person, no less than 5 other individuals, felt this person was a real sour person. Mood killer....

A fun course that you can score on if you can just keep it in play , course is usually in really good shape the greens are a little on the slower side but in excellent shape

ALTHOUGH GREENS WERE SLOW NEEDS TO BE AERATED AND ROLLED. OTHERWISE COURSE IN GREAT CONDITION. LOVED IT.

This course is very enjoyable. Excellent pace, I also like that they have grass practice range instead of mats. Easy course to play, good course condition. Also very good customer service! I only wish they had later tee times during the summer but no complaints, I enjoy this course a lot and I keep coming back as it’s not very busy and pace is excellent at all times

Excellent first experience to this course. Friendly atmosphere inside pro shop. Clear directions on tee times and location. Course layout I gave 4 stars only because couple holes weren’t clearly marked but not difficult to figure out. Wide open fairways are always a plus for a lefty so I score high for that. All in all great experience and will be back soon.

Very pleasant experience inside the pro shop which is always a good way too start. The course was absolutely beautiful. I took the suggestions from the reviews & it did not disappoint. Unfortunately it was extremely busy throughout the day & as a single you move relatively fast so it’s expected I run into some groups. 5 hour round by yourself is no where near ideal but fortunately the weather was great & the course was so well kept I wasn’t going too let it ruin my experience. 5 Stars just based on course conditions & the layout. Very fun track I just wish I lived closer!

Return after over 12years.

Its a fun layout and a little more difficult now that trees that were planted when constructed have grown up.

I was surprised ....I feel it is better maintained then in the past.

I would recommend this course.

Our club is playing this course later this year I will play.
