Excellent old school design updated….but pace of play problem
Sorry guys but you overbooked the course…5 hrs later I finished…rangers useless..my partners quit. I only stayed because I had nowhere else to go. Now on the positive side it is an old school layout that has been modernized. The greens were some of the purest I have ever putt . The layout of holes is typically is easy to drive and very wide-open. Most greens were raised with bunkering‘s either left or right or both. It’s starting to get a bit monotonous and it’s definitely a course that favors someone who can draw the ball. Some of the Par 3s are pretty interesting. It’s not long from blue tees…. It has a small driving range outside the clubhouse. But it does have some excellent practice greens and chipping area. Staff was friendly and helpful…well not if you’re a ranger…Look they realized it was the middle of February and they need to get all the money they can from the tourists. But let’s face it after my original partners left I got paired up with two guys who basically shot 10 on every hole. No way am I gonna play in under five hours with people like that…. Can’t we get a handicap System going rather than may have to suffer through people who basically don’t know the rules or the etiquette of the game.
Decent hole layouts once you get to the actual hole, a lot of hole overlapping. A lot of the rough was st Augustine grass, which i rarely see on a golf course other than growing from someone’s yard. Definitely not an over $100 course, but as long as we want to play they can over charge. Greens were decent.
Terrible pace of play
Worst pace of play here in Florida.
First and last time ever playing this track.
The front 9 took us just under 4 hours. The course was over booked… at one point the first par three there were literally groups of players lined up waiting to tee off.
The only hole that ran well was the first.
Didn’t even end up playing the full course bc the pace was so slow and backed up.
I called the club house to complain and the lady working was rude and told me that’s just the pace of play during “high season”.
Definitely a terrible experience!
I highly do not recommend this track!
Jammed course - SLOW PLAY
It’s too bad that they jam waaaay too many golfers on this course. The course is good and the greens are fast and fun but after 2 rounds this week, we will not go back. Start groups every 5 minutes and staff are indifferent about pace of play. We quit after a 2 hour and 36 minute front nine. Waited for 10 minutes on every hole just for the group ahead of us to tee off.
Do not try this course
5 hour round, weird layout, hard to follow course with the small signs.
NOT a worth the price
Very nice and golfer friendly
Nice layout, good condition, user friendly “length wise.”
Fun Track. Good Shape. Not difficult.
I was looking to squeeze in a round. Found Miami Shores with plenty of availability. Played early morning. Decent pace of play. We finished right at 4 hrs. Course was in good shape. Not a long course. All in all, fun time. One note, as we were finishing around 1:00PM, course was getting really busy (Friday afternoon) so I would suggest an early tee time if possible.
Second class citizen in my own country
Played this course exclusively for the last 4 years, great layout. Awesome course. The Canadians receive better rates than the American folks that live in USA? What is wrong with this picture? How can that happen? We, that live here should be receiving better greens fees! Just saying. Seems quite unfair to me and I’m very sure others that come to such an awesome course.
Staff outside are great and a pleasure to talk with. Inside staff not so much.
Slow Pace
Great course but pace of play is horrible. We were tracking to a 6 hour round.
Fun Course, Unhelpful Staff
First time playing the course and my wife and I enjoyed playing the round. The course layout is interesting and some larger signs might be helpful for navigating the interesting drives between a couple holes, but otherwise good condition from tee to green. The staff, however, was extremely unhelpful and acted like we were bothering them to ask questions like where is the restroom, where do I get the range balls, where is the first tee, and do you have any grab-and-go food/ snacks.
Love this course and played it many times recently but this weekend we had 2 groups in front who needed a driving range more than a golf course so very slow but no marshal to push them along and for sure no way anyone in Miami would ever think of letting people who can play golf pass through.
Great course, challenging greens
Lovely gem of a course, great layout and exciting greens and I would have no hesitation to recommend it. Cart staff were friendly and efficient but pro shop staff terrible.
Great and challenging.
MSCC is in tiptop shape. I'm a 25 handicaper and was forced to think about what club I would use and where I would hit the ball.
Check out MSCC, I Think you'll find the course fun and challenging.
