About
Historic Miami Shores Country Club offers a classic 18-hole championship golf course that is the home of a vast array of sub-tropical wildlife and vegetation. The Club has been host to a number of prestigious events including the Florida State Open.
Celebrities such as Bob Hope, Joe DiMaggio, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead and Lee Trevino have graced the lush fairways.
The front nine calls for precise approach shots into small well bunkered, contoured greens. The incoming nine calls for well-placed tee shots.
This Red Laurence designed course offers other amenities like a 120 seat lounge with a panoramic view of the golf course and lighted driving range, six clay tennis courts, three hard courts, swimming pool, extra large men's and ladies' locker rooms and a staff that understands the meaning of service.

Course layout is good
Tee box is good, fairways are in good condition, and greens well kept, a little fast greens. Overall it is a good experience and had a lot of fun.

A very congested and difficult course to navigate. Lots of par 4’s were very similar. #9 is a terrible hole, right after another Par 3
Very small footprint overall. Raised greens and slightly clear putting make the course challenging.

Ugh
There was no communication when you arrived. You had to figure everything out on your own. No cart person, no signs in the parking lot telling you where to go, no starter and a disinterested pro shop attendant. The course itself is a decent layout, but there's major construction going on, which caused us to have to take detours all over the place three times. If you know the right thing to say you can pay as little as $40 to play the course, and that is the max that it's worth. Like everybody else said, the greens are lightning quick, if you consider that a feature I guess there's one redeeming quality to discourse.The experience overall was frustrating.
Good mid-week value
The course has a nice mix of challenges; water layups, long holes, raised and fast greens. It is in good shape and the greens, although top-dressed recently, were fast and true. Overall, would recommend. The staff wasn't particularly helpful nor welcoming, but they weren't nasty either.
This course make you use all clubs in your bag.

Nice course in very good condition. Greens are fast. Staff a little stuffy. Pricy if you can't get a discount.
Well maintained poorly managed
The pro shop staff were rude and unhelpful. The staff was unprepared for the arrivals. There were four groups and it took 45 minutes for them to get any of us carts. They then sent us out to play at roughly the same time (rather than starting at or near our reserved times). This caused a backlog and frustrating pace of play. The course itself is beautiful (except for the train track adjacent to some of the holes) and the greens were excellent.
