Miami Shores Country Club, hole 13. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 03/25/2019
Miami Shores CC
The course was in great condition for the time of year possibly the best condition we have seen this holiday. Pace of play was Ok but the course layout has you travelling long distances from green to tee and the signage is not great
MIAMI GEM
This course is several decades old and it shows...in the best possible way. It’s layout is old school, but refreshing, highlighted by elevation changes and quick, pure greens. I would recommend this course to anyone trying to shake things up from the typical “south Florida” golf course design. You won’t be disappointed.
Satisfied golfer
The course lived up to the reviews. The staff was professional and helpful. The course was a challenge but in great condition.
Miami Shores
Have played here several times over the years. Great back nine and nice to see the greens in decent shape. Value for the money is ok for being in the city. A definite recommend.
This course has some glass fast greens
It was my first time playing this course. I love the layout. The fairways and the bunkers were very nice. The greens are small and very fast. You must land your ball on the front of the green because it will release at least 5 to 10 feet. I will definitely be playing this course again. It is a must play.
Bring a map, this place is confusing !
My wife did not enjoy this course, I did, but I had to work at it.
The greens were lightning fast, in great shape, the course was an old layout, no houses, so there was a lot of back and forth
The course is .confusing and we wound up playing the wrong holes twice, they need to mark the way better, very confusing.
I would play it again, however I would not bend over backwards to play it.
Great price
The course is correctly priced for the course conditions. The greens had some bare spots but they were green. The fairways were ok the were over grown in some spots. The had elevated greens which is uncommon in south Florida which made a fun challenge. Some of the grass around the greens was dead. It was a good price for the course conditions.
Sporty course
Course and greens were in great condition..Fun course ..Just wide enough to make it challenging and enjoyable.
Greens are well manicured
I first wrote a review over a year ago about one particular staff member/ starter that wasn’t fair to non existing members. So I have a subpar review about staff.
Not the case this time.
The course was great and ,for the rate found through the GN app made it even sweeter.
Played the round in the after noon, well groomed and the greens are fast.
The pace of play was fast with out a rush .
Ps
Staff is awesome !
Did not play but still was charged!!
We had very bad weather in Miami today. They may not have closed the course but the rain was torrential. I spoke to the pro shop and they agreed we couldn’t play at that time. Please reimburse my money! Thank you
Great greens
Course overall was In great shape. Greens were quick
Compact design with good small greens
Played Sunday morn after some heavy rain the previous days. The small greens were in good shape, most being elevated but there were lots of wet spots in the fairway. The course is generous off the tee but small greens put a premium on iron play. Pace of okay was slow but I auppose that’s common in Miami.
The club house is a bit old but nice. Full locker room with showers which was convenient.
There are lots of interesting old fig trees and other tropical trees on the course.
The only real negative was one pond on the course had a pollution boom and it had collected a load of floating trash. Can’t blame the course for all the trash but if they’re going to set up the floating boom they should go clean up the trash. And people need to learn to put trash in the proper receptacles.
Very changeable weather however course was in good condition.
