Miami Shores Country Club, hole 13. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 03/25/2019
course is good but pairing was horrible
My 1 handicap son and I (handicap 12) decided to play last Sunday. The starter did not even ask how we played and paired us with a couple who we believe were entering the course for the first time. We had to stop on the 9th hole because there was no reason to continue. What was suppose to be a nice family event turned out a real nightmare. They should be more careful with the pairing. Other than that the course was nice. Too bad we did not had a chance to see the back nine..
Better with experience!
Enjoy this course which is always recommended by my sister. It would have been nice if staff monitored pace of play as well as starting time and use of golf carts before the start. The slow players ahead of us could not have been more apologetic but nevertheless the 4.5 hr round could have been finished in 4. If. you know about the trains that pass through and can concentrate... this course is usually fair and interesting.
Great course to enjoy
Please fix your ball marks, fairway divots and walk softly on the greens. The greens roll true and the grass is lovely so please keep it that way for others.
I seen the transformation of this course during last years. Never been better conditions than now.
Probably after Irma hurricane the course is kind of more open due the trees removed. Tees are perfect and greens rolling and in good shape. Is a gem in south Florida. Staff are great the strive to give you good service. From Pro Shop to the restaurant.
Very Poor Condition of Golf Course
Played this golf course today after noon. Although the pace of play was excellent, but the course is in a very poor condition. The front 9 is technically unplayable, with heavy waterlogging in the fair ways. On top people have driven their golf carts on the wet fairways turning them into a veritable mess. I counted 7 fairways that are heavily waterlogged and in very poor condition. I would not recommend anyone to play this golf course till it is fixed. For the price I paid, Jacaranda or Hollybrook or Plantation Preserve are way better golf courses.
Stay away from this golf course!
Good challenging course with beautiful club house
Myself and my wife from Ireland enjoyed your course ,played it after Irma hit ,course was in great shape , beautiful designed bar in your club house looking out on driving range . One of your bar staff Jeff was very friendly and helpful . food was good and not too expensive .
Course would suit all golfers
Good course , not to difficult or long for men or ladies ,greens in good shape ,have a beer after 9 bar staff very friendly and helpful. .enjoyed our day
Great course, impeccable greens
I play quite a bit throughout South Florida, the greens here are exceptional, fast and challenging. The cups are cut so very nicely. Fairways and first cut in very good shape. Mind you most courses are still closed due to hurricane Irma, not only is this course open but in great condition. Challenging if you really want to go after some shots and test your skills. I enjoyed it and will be going back.
The fairways
The fairways are in horrible conditions, they were punch and the staff doesn't even let me know, also the grass on the fairway is not sodded right or it needs to be changed. Last time I play this course , hopefully they can redo the fairways with a different type of grass.
Fantastic Green
This is a deceptively difficult course. The greens are lightening fast and small. Tough to hit in regulation. Fairways are lush. One of the better courses in South Florida. Course has an old school feel to it.
Fast greens, great shape
Even though the greens were recently aerated, the greens were fast and true. Course took a lot of rain recently, but was not negatively impacted. All in all, a great day of golf.
Nice course, good to play
Course was in good condition. Even though they just aerated the greens , they were not too slow and playable. Nice course, not too long and not too difficult.
Perfect for all levels
Play here all the time. Rates go down once 3PM hits and we try to get one of the first times. Course is always in great shape, some of the fastest public greens i've ever played.
In terms of total condition, give it a 9/10. The greens are US Open fast. Be careful.
