Miami Shores Country Club, hole 13. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 03/25/2019
Shore is Beautiful
Great course great layout, friendly staff greens where in good shape, truly fun & beautiful course
Thunder storms
Due to the thunderstorms we could not continue play after 5 holes and the staff members did not redound me anything!
Nice course. Condition of tee boxes, fairways and greens get an A. I Have played here a bunch of times and will recommend it to all handicappers. You will NOT regret playing here. If you get it for $70 (Miami standards) or less then I would not think about it twice.
Very Underwelmed
Fairways and Greens were in great shape. Tee boxes were a bit chewed up. Starters seamed to be having a bad day and were not very friendly or forth coming with information. Did not see a cart girl for the entire 5+ hour round. Course has a some challenges and is a fun layout. Would chalk it up to just one of those days but with so many other great courses in south Fl. I don't see myself going back any time soon.
Course maintained to perfection
The last time I played Miami Shores I was a 12 years old. Since the 1970's, this course has been dug up and re-designed twice. Everywhere you go on this course you'll find lush fairways and lavish greens that are both challenging and very fair. You won't find a better bang for your buck anywhere else in South Florida!
Miami Shores
Good value for the money. Nice layout and somewhat challenging course. Great for high to medium handicap player. Friendly staff but the only bad experience came to the food at the clubhouse...OMG horrible Safe yourself some. Obey and stomach aches and bring your own food or wait til after you are finished.
Hot Deal rate late on Sunday
Nice course to start our trip. Great value for money and course was in reasonable condition. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good practice facilities (floodlit) and a great place to have a post round pint. Very enjoyable and would play again as a 'value for money' round.
Good golf
Great course, but there needs to be Marshal to help speed of play. Very frustrating. Course signing could use some improvements, especially confusing for first timers. Greens are a challenge-generally small and very few are level. Well maintained. Sand traps could use another layer of sand. Pro shop staff was very friendly. Bar service was atrocious. So bad I left without ordering!
Miami Heat
First time playing in Miami. Picked this Country Club on Biscayne Blvd (Hwy 1), which was easy to find. Course conditions were good, greens pretty fast, but layout was not spectacular. I was teamed up with two other single players and we had fun despite the heavy afternoon thunderstorm.
Nice Club Course
This is a very nice well maintained course in a real country club setting. Its not swanky or prestigious but very friendly comfortable with a proper club membership. Theres a course starter and great catering.
High recommend for the money excellent
great staff
I play this course ten, twelve times a year, the course conditions are very consistent, good. The greens were a little faster this round than normal.
Fairways impossible.
The fairways need dethatching/verticutting badly. Any iron shot into the grain will result in a fat beaver pelt laid over the ball. The greens are great and overall they are making an effort to upgrade the course
Pace of Play
Only down fall was the wait time on every T box.
Need a marshal to instruct some groups to keep up to group in front.
Greens in great shape!
Very average
Tee time was not observed. 1/2 behind tee time and line up on most holes. Ranger couldn't care less. Course is fine and worth the money we paid.
Terrible pace of play
It has been a very long timensince a round of golf took morenthan 6 hours!!! Terrible the ranger would just drive around, i was in a group of twosome , i ended up
Giving up at hole 16. Played this course twice the first and the last time!!!
c green
Fun old school Florida course. Has some elevation changes which is a nice feature for courses in the area. Layout was good, but the conditioning was truly outstanding. Some of the nicest greens I have ever putted. Even better than Doral. They were smooth, true and very fast. A joy to experience. The staff was also very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend Miami Shores!
My favorite hole was #13, a really fun Par 5.
Note: regardless of the pin position, play to the middle of the green. They are small and elevated, so even if you are just a fraction off with your approach you will be faced with a testy shot. And when dealing with greens this fast, you are always best to play it safe.
