About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

Greens are in Great shape, overall the course has improved greatly in the past few months
Great shape
Best shape ever seen course. Grass from tee to green. No bad lies in fairways, no bare spots on tees or greens.
Course in better shape than most courses in Lake County.
Fun old style course
The greens were excellent fairways and bunkers were good also nice chipping practice area. Have played here off and on since the 90’s the course has never been in better shape.
Course is in very good shape
Course has made steady improvement, just sanded the greens which are much improved and fairways are in about as good as I have seen here. Nice course, need to give it a. Try if you haven’t played here.
A fun course and a good value but….
On the plus side the course is very challenging - the greens are fast and crowned. Tees and fairways in good shape considering the weather.
The only negative was the check-in when I wanted to add a golfer. Despite calling ahead to make sure it was okay and the course not being the least bit busy you’d have thought I was asking for a kidney. It started us out on a sour note.
Great place to golf
The course is well maintained, probably has the most hills you will find in the area, and has great pricing on drinks and dogs! I love going here.
Very nice course
Course was in very nice shape. Really like the elevation changes. Definitely playing it again
