TPC Harding Park - Harding Course

Well maintained and pretty course but not worth the price for non-SF residents - even if it's a TPC course. And mats at the range?!?

Great layout. Challenging but fair. Six holes are on a lakeside. Every staff member from the pro at the desk to the bartender were very friendly. This is a must play course if you are in the Bay area.

My first time at TPC Harding Park after playing the Fleming course several times. Got a decent twilight rate of $88 on Saturday with a tee time of 2:50p, which meant we finished about 7:15p with the sun going down and the shadows making it difficult to see the ball on the last 3 holes. It's a well maintained course with lots of space and low rough between the tall cypress trees, which made for easier outs when missing the fairways. Thought the ball washers could have been better maintained and didn't like the cart path only rules, which made for a slower pace of play. Would rather have just walked with a push cart, which wouldn't have been difficult since it's a relatively flat course. Would definitely play again.

Very good shape and a fantastic designed course. Rough can be penal and ball doesn't seem to fly as far in the heavy coastal atmosphere. Many of the holes will require you to move the ball with your shot with just as many high and low cuts to big high draws it keeps you focused on playing through a heavily cypress forested layout.

The staff here is so focused on fast paced play that it makes the entire experience terrible. My group left after nine holes after being rushed by staff and the field marshals. We will not be returning.

The course marshalsl were very much on top of their game -- checking in with us several times and filling us in on the adjacent foursomes' pace of play (relative to ours).

We paid $75/ea to play here (as an SF resident taking advantage of the discounted GolfNow rate) and frankly I think that's about the most I would pay. The greens fees of $100-150 are just too steep for a course of this caliber.

Love the old Cypress trees, design and location.
But was super disappointed with the condition of the greens.

Asking too much money ($80) for a twilight time (3:18pm)

Overall, very good experience. Course was in good condition, but several bunkers were GUR and the greens had been aerated and top dressed earlier in the week, so can't really comment on the greens. Pace of play was fine and staff were friendly. Would play again.

The day was cloudy, cold and windy so it wasn't the most pleasant conditions. The course is kept fairly well, some bunkers were under repair but course conditions were overall good. Cart path only course, 18th hole has a nice view on the left of Lake Merced, a few tough par 4s.

Want to experience where professionals play at an affordable price? TPC Harding is such a course...if you live in the SF Bay Area. Started play mid-afternoon. Excellent fairway conditions. Greens were very slow, grass having grown all day plus they were likely cut for daily amateur players. Rough didn't seem too bad, but beware as they do grab the hossel and turn a straight shot into a pull or a hook! A few bunkers were under repair, but sand in those
In play was great and easy to get the ball out. TPC Harding is not the same course that I played in 80's-90's; it's so much better! Go and play it!

excellent course, great conditions, great pace of play (finished in under 4 hrs with first twilight tee time). not sure if worth full rate (non-local) but definitely worth any discounted fees you can find on golf now.

First time playing this course and looking forward to playing again. I drove 115 miles to get to the course and will do it again.

Played course for the first time yesterday. The minimal interaction I had with the staff was pleasant.

The overall condition of the course was pretty nice. The tee boxes, fairways and especially the greens were shaggy. Putting was difficult. The twosome I was playing with said that the greenskeepers were letting the grass grow out a little to prep for the senior tour event being held there in a few months. The rough was lush and in good shape. I would have rated the course as pristine had everything been cut properly.

On the whole, the layout was great. A majority of the holes on the front nine seemed very similar. There was much more variety on the back nine. Fifteen through eighteen were really great. They were challenging and scenic.

Pase of play was at just over 4:30. It was extremely crowded and while we waited on several tee boxes for no more than a few minutes, people seemed to have a genuine respect for the pace. I really didn't see anyone taking an extended amount of time to hit shots with someone waiting behind them.

This was a solid course overall and would definitely play it again.

They wouldn't honor the Golf Now price. The course was great but not honoring the price is annoying.

Don't waste your money. When I made the t-time, no one told us that this course is cart path only (keep in mind it's very hilly#. There is a shooting range nearby so you will hear gun fire throughout your entire round. The driving range was closed #again they never told us). They just implimented a new check-in system so staff at the golf shop were taking forever to check people in. Oh by the way, no water on the course anywhere, they claim they had restrooms but I couldn't find them, they had overseeded the fairways and the greens were in terrible shape. Why are they charging $155 to play this course? avoid, it's a joke.

Beautiful historic course with great views and challenging holes. A "must play" when in the San Francisco area!

Great course but it is a bit disappointing than expected.
