Fun course
Fun course. Challenging when the wind starts blowing.
Heavily bunkered with uneven turf but a decent links layout
Good links layout somewhat spoiled by crab-grass infected fairways. The uneveness of the turf is similar to always playing from a divot. But the fairways are built for distance, very wide and quite fast, Pace of play was very slow, 5+-hour round. The greens were difficult but rolled true so no complaints there.
Under 4 hour round
Pace was great! Group was great! I was horrible. Still finished under 4 hours.
Waiting behind 2 foresomes
Course is beautiful the staff is awesome but it is so slow there was 2 foresimes waiting in front of us sometimes 20 minutes before you could drive. Maybe better during the week for folks that don’t work.
Over booked.
staff is great but I started 5.5 hours ago and I’m not done. More like 6.5 hours . Three groups at the same time. If it moved well it would be nice.
Tee Boxes and fairways are in horrible condition
Tee boxes are nightmares! I almost twisted my ankle! Fairways are muddy and bird poops all over the fairways. Please fix the tee boxes!!!
Nice golf next to the water, pace was way too slow
Love the place, next to the water, beautiful sunset but we took twilight and were only able to do 7 holes in 2h15...

Fairway
Fairway is terrible, meanwhile green is very good. I will recommend if fairway is fix.
Signed up for players club to save money, booked a tee time on GOLF NOW payed more than double the price
Not good for walking
Over course layout is okay and greens are in good shape. But lots of duck poop all over the fairway, makes it inconvenient for walking. Get a cart!
Another round @ Monarch
I really like the course but it plays very slow. Tee times are spaced 9 minutes apart so backups on the Par 3’s can be two to three groups. I was pretty much waiting on every shot.
Course conditions were good. Grass was decently kept up. The greens were also in decent conditions. The Starter attendant was not around at our start time. Waited around for about 10 minutes then just started anyway. At the turn the snack bar was also not attended eventhough the window was open, with no "Be Right Back" signs. Played the rest of the course hungry and thirsty.
