Done with Monarch
This course has a lot of potential but every experience I’ve had has been awful. First time here I was hit by an errant shot (in the hand)...this most recent time I had my putter headcover stolen when I left my clubs outside the bathroom...the layout is interesting but I’m just done with trying to give this place a chance. Save yourself the 5 1/2 hour rounds and go elsewhere.
Solid Saturday Session
Reasonable priced and great staff members. Came here as a single at a 7am tee time. From the driving range grass to the fairways, this place takes pride in their grooming. Everything was well kept. Once you play the back 9 there is a level of odor that is coming from a nearby facility, but the smell is short lived as you distance yourself towards the backside. Otherwise, this place doesn’t disappoint.
Windy
Fun but long with fore 20 mph wind coming home. The 16th with the beautiful skyline on San Francisco . Take two extra clubs. Trust me
What beauty!
Great morning for golf. 609 tee time. Done in under 4 hours. Greens are sticky, fairways were recently punched. All good in the hood.

In very good condition. The fairways are just ok with many uneven patch’s of grass. By nature a windy course.
Great course
Greens were punched nearly a month ago and have healed nicely. Course is in good shape. Played super fast, walked and finished slightly under 4 hours. Great day
Only play if you have 5 and half hours to spare
Course is decent, although you’ll be playing at snails pace. Gave up after 9 holes, and this is on Wednesday, not even a weekend
Monarch Bay Golf
Very long course. 6800 yards. It got very windy. The course needs water . We are in a drought though. Greens were recently plugged. Pace of play was slow. I walked the course. Great workout.
Challenge in wind
Greens are awesome. Windy is almost unfair because holes playing North to South are getting pushed left, the OB line is just off the fairway and the wind pushes it that way. 3 times in drove in the fairway to have it trickle of into the OB . Found the balls with beautiful lie , but OB and 2 shot penalty.
This course sucks
Disgusting condition, incompetent staff. I wish I can go back in time and get my money back.
Ok place to olay
Not a bad place to play but very slow play. Over 2 hrs for nine and ended up just leaving. Driving range is mats only and practice green is ok. They could do more to speed up play, have beverage cart out to sell drinks/food. For the price there are other places to play that I feel are better value.
Fun course
Fun course. Challenging when the wind starts blowing.
