Stays ready so it doesn't have to get ready
Have played the bridges quite a few times over the last couple of years and glad to see it is doing better. Refused to come out here last year once their boxes were infected and they were still charging full price. The boxes have been repaired and the greens finally seem a little thicker (used to be quite thin and would almost rip off the ground). Love the course and love the challenge. I would suggest that they start letting some of the rough go to preserve water to combat the drought.

Incredible Experience
Easily one of the best public courses in the Bay Area. Would recommend this course to anyone that has a chance to play.

Tough but fair
The Bridges is a great layout the rough is penalizing . The only complaint are the tee boxes they tend to be or need to be cut lower as it’s almost like hitting from the rough.

Great But Not For Low ‘Cappers
First off, the course is in Fantastic shape. That could be because most holes are cart path only. But in the middle of drought in summer, it’s very green! The course, as is known to many, is not an easy course but definitely very playable and still enjoyable to a mid-capper. I recommend!

From worse to bad
Cart part only. Very difficult layout and extremely hilly. Greens have improved to poor condition.

Two Problems
High rough in front of all holes and off fairways. Makes a very difficult course very hard for the average player. That, coupled with the course's decision to close 9 holes every day to carts for the summer, makes for a further unpleasurable experience.
These issues, coupled with the fee increases during Covid, will lead me to other courses.

Service has really slipped
I consider Bridges my home course. I live down the street and have been playing here for years. My first time back since covid started, prices have sky rocketed, cart died on the back nine - called in but they didn’t send anyone, and didn’t see the cart girl once. I’m so disappointed, feel like I should look elsewhere.

Waiting 15 minutes to tee, every hole
The pace of play is insane. I got out here and there was a gap between me and the group before me. So I’m cruising through the first 4 holes. Then BOOM, incredibly long wait. Every hole from 5th on.... their is either THREE or FOUR groups playing or waiting each hole. I’m currently at the tee box on 14... I’m not just waiting on the people before me, but also the people before them just to tee off. So there are currently 4 different tee times playing the par 4 14th. I called after 9 holes and told them the issue, I didn’t even ask for a refund. I asked for a rain check so I can just come back another time; they said no they don’t have a supervisor present that can do that. I paid $50 for this crap. Incredible

Great Path to Humility
The Bridges is a fantastic layout with "nearly" everything an avid golfer looks for in a course. However, it is not for those with fragile egos or wild swings. It is narrow, with long thick rough, and intimidating carries on almost every hole. Every error will cost one or two strokes and all errors, large or small, cost something. There are few free recoveries. But at the end of the round you know you have taken on a real challenge and the good shots seem even better and the smart choices feel like brilliance.
Let me guess you shot a 117 but you strong ego is still intact?
