Flamingo Lakes Country Club in Pembroke Pines is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The layout is challenging but it is also very forgiving, making it accessible for players of any skill level. The course differs from other golf courses in the area due to its hilly terrain. Elevation changes are not common occurrences on Florida golf courses but you'll find several tricky uneven lies on this one. It also stands out for its superb conditions. Water hazards come into play on almost every hole, presenting some interesting risk-reward opportunities. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout requires thought and strategy in order to score well. Flamingo Lakes isn't long, instead it provides a quick and challenging round that can be played in less than four hours.

Below average

The course is not worth the green fee. Lots of weeds and bare patches on the fairway. The greens are slow and inconsistent from one to the other. We finished the round in 5hrs. Unfortunately there weren’t any positive points in our opinion besides the staff being friendly.

Fairly standard public course with the exception of the greens, while they may not be perfect and do have the typical public course issues, they are faster than the typical "Orangebrook" style greens, which made for a more pleasurable round overall.

Nice day at Flamingo

Course is in good shape. Tight fairways make challenging drives and second shots on some holes. Holes 8, 10 and 11 are holes you can get a big score on. Other holes are easier so you have a chance to score low on them. Greens are not fast but not slow and have breaks.
