Riverwood Golf Club

Course was in great shape. Went out alone but the pace of play behind a foursome was great.

Great layout and really friendly staff except the starter. He acts more like he’s a sheriffs deputy instead of a golf host. Terrible first impression before you out and enjoy the course. Everything else was first class. Highly recommend.

This course has a high quality layout and upkeep. The back tees provide many forced carries and scenic shots. Out of Bounds is a concern for scoring with dense shrubs and water hazards lining most fairways. Well worth the play for a test of your game.

Always seems to be in good condition. Enjoyed the round.

Beautiful course, very well maintained. Huge bunkers guard the greens. We enjoyed playing there.

This was a terrible experience playing this course. The entire course was aerated and the greens were punched and sanded, which was not told to us before the round. Once we started playing we were stuck behind another foursome that was extremely slow. A whole hole and a half space between them and the next group in front of them. Then at the turn that group in front stopped for lunch and when we arrived at the 10th tee, they were waiting between us and the group in front of us. Making us the third group on the 10th tee. An incredibly slow day. We tried to ask for a refund on the 9 holes because we would not be staying and they would not give us one.

I still believe Riverwood to be the best overall course I’ve played this far no matter the cost. With cost in mind, I appreciate the fees if you have your Big Summer Golf Card and or play twilight times/fees. It’s a deceiving course as in it seems pretty straight forward on most holes, but you WILL lose balls and you will end up with a few, half a dozen, dozen strokes added to score. Haha. It’s challenging in all aspects esp when it comes to second and or third shot distances. Practice facilities hands down best around. Greens seem to still be the fastest around as well which is enjoyful and challenging. 17th hole is going to get the majority of players for a few extra strokes for sure. Can’t wait to play again!!

Maintenance and amenities seem to be lacking somewhat. It is understandable that lack of rain makes course conditions challenging, but some areas seem to be neglected. Driving range was large absent practice balls even early morning.

All good. Really good course but very tough. I played well but was eight strokes above my average. Lost a lot of balls.

Playing off the black tees made this course a challenge but well worth the effort.

True putting surfaces on all the well manicured, interesting greens meant a few birdies were had!

Would definitely play here again.

Overall this is the best course I’ve played in Florida from Naples to Palmetto! Phenomenal driving range Chipping area and Putting Greens. Water & Ice machines outside the clubhouse heading to the first and 10th holes as well as another station on the front 9. Although that one was in need of service. Cart Beverage Lady was Seen twice which seems to be becoming a rare commodity these days on courses so that was nice. It has the highest rating / slope of any course I’ve played so far and although it doesn’t seem to be, it’s a sneaky challenging course with unique holes. Price is right with a BSG Card. Even without it it’s still superior to courses I’ve played costing an additional $30-$40! I will certainly be back for more abuse hahaha
