Achasta Golf Club

A lot of crabgrass and grassless spots… recently aerified greens may have played a role. . A few bunkers were poorly unkept.

This course was in phenomenal shape and the staff was great.

Just wished they let us pull the cart to the parking area to unload.

Fun layout with the Chestatee River in play on over half the holes. Flattest course in North Ga. Lots of bunkers. Thick rough. 8 or so bridges crossing the river throughout the round.

Bent grass greens in good shape, rolled well. Not very fast since it’s late summer, but weren’t too slow.

Would love to play this course and in fall when greens are firmer.

A few really tough par 4s. #13 and #18 are excellent holes.

Love the layout of this course and fairways are good but expected the greens to be better. I’d only play this course on a Golfnow deal not a $70 course to me. I play less expensive courses with greens in better shape.

Please, just put some signs out to direct people who have never golfed on this course before. There are forks in the road and roundabouts as well and there is NO SIGN indicating how to get to the next hole. This seems so simple.

Plus, the people at the front desk should not treat new patrons like aliens. Could those kids at the desk be more disengaged and rude? i don't think so.

Had a great time would recommend this course to anyone!

First time playing this course and it was beautiful. Didn't play as well as I would have liked so booked another tee time for this weekend!

Really enjoyed playing Achasta again. The course is in great condition overall - it’s a challenging course but also gives you some great opportunities to make some birdies on the back nine. Only complaint was that the pace of play was extremely slow on the day played and when in 90-degree heat, waiting long periods to hit each shot can get frustrating. It could have just been that particular day though.

Nice layout. The course goes back and forth across the river. There are 4-5 foot weeds growing everywhere which makes the course look bad, but you clearly know when you’re “off the course”. Fairways are nice and friendly. Must get a lot of play as the greens have lots of unrepaired ball marks. No towels in the cart, so bring one. Tuesday was Sr Men’s League and they must put the slowest guys in the back. Our threesome watched their threesome play every shot on the back nine. I shook hands with them after the round.

Go to chattahoochie it’s 20 mins up the road. Much nicer.

Might want to hold off on this course for a bit. They aerated over the last two days. However, when I played, greens were great. Fairways were great. Solid, solid track.

Course has a nice mixture of challenging and easier holes. With that said, I disagree with a driveable par 4 (285) and then consecutive reachable par 5s (528 each) on the back 9. It’s fun. However, pace of play really suffers on this stretch.

No water on course until #8, and I had to call the pro shop to get a cart girl out on a Sunday morning, so I was missing the quality I’d expect from a $90 round at a private / semi-private course.
