Bear Creek Golf Club

Have played here many times and like the layout overall, about medium difficulty with very good & fast greens being the highlight of conditions here. Very friendly service, do run into some fairly slow play at times here and actually ended up skipping the final 2 holes because the back-up of players was so heavy. Par 4 13th hole is under major resurfacing and reconstruction, temporary tees are way forward in the 190-210 yards range and a very tight, difficult shot for what is basically a long par 3 now. Hole 16 is also a tiny par 3 with driving range mats for the tee areas, so realistically there are only 16 true holes at the course currently. Rest of the course is fairly fun, staff is friendly, and overall playing conditions somewhat above average. A lot of cleared tree areas on the course to set up for future improvements have it somewhat unattractive in spots, but doesn't bother me much. Know they are working to improve the conditions in various areas over time.

This is an excellent golf course it’s plays in many different ways but always very very nice. Greens are always pretty fast and roll very true especially in the summer. I’ve been coming here for a long time now starting my golf journey. Not only does the staff here feel like family but even ever member and player here are super friendly and help me in many ways. I’ve came a long way to be where I am today. You might here these bad reviews all over about here but really I tell you this place is amazing everything is good the people, the place, and the environment. It’s a must.

There weren’t enough carts for the players. People with later tee times were grabbing carts ahead of people with current tee times. There were no staff around to manage the chaos. I asked the gentleman who was bringing out the carts about the process and out comes the owner’s wife yelling at me. She told me if I didn’t like the process then just don’t come back. She’s standing there yelling at me in front of the rest of customers, putting her finger in my face. So terribly rude. Confirmation of her behavior being the norm came from the other staff members who said she is loud and rude to others. I love the course but stay away from the owners wife.

Staff was great they let us go off earlier because the rain was coming in and they were not that busy. They are working on many improvements. Green were nice. Bunkers good too.

Terrible course . Told them my fourth was not coming and they said that was fine and I wouldn’t be charged and then I was charged anyways . Will not be going there again. Overall terrible experience .

A scenic and challenging layout. Winter play was very good with excellent greens, and can't wait for the fairways to green-up later this spring. The staff are helpful and very friendly and so are the fees.

Greens were fast, fairways grass was matted down. Looks like they took alot of trees out. Maybe it will be better when it warms up.

I'll preface this by saying we've had a very cold and wet winter with lots of flooding rain. However, the layout here has always been very questionable with holes "forced" into area not conducive to reasonable golf. Tees are dirt, no grass, lots and lots of tree cutting and chipping has left wood chips all over the sides of fairways. Several hole have tilted fairways and the cart paths are torn up and very bumpy. Several wet areas, practically swamp. Greens are fair.

This was my first time playing Bear Creek and I was thoroughly impressed with the conditions for winter. There is a lot of improvements being made to ensure a pleasurable experience.

It has been years since we have played here and we were not aware of the improvements they are working on. We had a good day and really enjoyed the course. We will definitely be back soon.

Enjoyable day out with the crew playing 18. Course condition is about what you would expect this time of year. Sure could use about a week of no rain and warm temps.

Played this course dozens of times over many years and enjoyed it very much overall, but course conditions have gradually worsened and now just not much fun to play anymore. Greens are smooth and very fast, but tees are mostly bare of grass and have to search for a spot that is not dirt, very poor. Fairways are only slightly better and 2 of them almost unplayable (#12 and 17), with large sections of mud and sand in areas where tee shots would land and ball must be moved, if retrievable, fairly far away to play. Many, many areas of cart path have broken spots, high ridges, etc that make them rough to drive over as well.

Staff extremely friendly at course and location very convenient and serene for playing, and they have almost completely resodded a couple of tee boxes so they should be playable in the near future, but hitting off of dirt tee boxes and almost dirt fairways definitely affects ability to make good ball contact and enjoy playing. With 2 fairways semi unplayable plus Hole #16 changed to a 90-yard Par 3 hitting from a driving range artificial grass mat tee and not fun at all, this is basically now a 15-hole course with the nice greens the only positive feature in terms of course conditions. Hope they improve the course in the coming months, but believe this may be my last time playing this one for quite awhile.
