Bear Creek Golf Club

I had played this course, many times, and most of the time enjoyed it very much, but this time was very different! I was a little early for my tee time and understood that I might have to wait because they had two tournaments going on at the time. But after waiting for more than 15 minutes, within sight of the first tee, I asked, could we go on because nobody had come through in 15 minutes and nobody was waiting… I was told I would have to wait until my tee time, and after waiting a little bit longer, I was allowed to proceed… during the whole round, we had the course to ourselves, but on the 17th hole, the same stern person approached me again, and even though I had a handicap flag, he said, I was too close to the green… I can assure you I was 30 or 40 yards from the green with my cart… Anyway, this person made me and my partner feel very uncomfortable, and we will never return, and I will tell all the people who ask me what they might expect, and that won't be good!

Seems like a great course but we got rained out on hole seven but we will come back and play it

I have played Bear Creek several times and it's a decent course but There are a couple of issues I have had.

When I arrived to check in the person specifically stated that I had the GolfNow Deal and I felt like it was said to make me feel like I was not a full paying customer. * rode with another player who got the same deal and he commented that it made him feel the same way. Also when I asked to pay for a bucket of balls he said I could do it at the machine, when I said can I pay here he said no you have to pay at the machine. Bad customer service.

Either take the GolfNow booking service or don't but don't diminish the people who get a hot deal. Doesn't make me want to come back.

I won't come back and pay full price now. I'll only go back if it's a $30 hot deal.

Also there was a threesome behind us on the motorcycle carts and they were pushing us all through the back nine. They would hit right up to us then ride up and wait. It was very rude. They also were riding their carts right up to the greens. Very bad golf etiquette.

Having said all this the greens were in great shape and I actually like the course and layout. The staff could use some work on welcoming the players.

Bear Creek never disappoints. The course was in good shape, the company was great. Joined a group at the turn for the back 9. Weather, everything was good. I'm still not entirely happy about shortening 16 and putting in the practice range, but that's another story.

If a round is over $50 there should be a starter/marshal helping control pace of play, especially on a holiday. Luckily, a couple of groups were able to work together and consolidate as necessary, but that shouldn’t have to happen. And we were waiting 5-10 minutes on each hole to hit.

I cannot believe you can run a weekend and holiday business without the appropriate staff. No starter no bar staff and no ranger. Got to do a better job if the price goes up. You know that can barter for help.

The course was a great condition. The greens were excellent. I like seeing this course get better over the weeks. Great track to play. I'll be back!!!

It’s time for real tee boxes on #16 and cart paths could use some loving!

Because I booked on the GolfNow app my friend who got hurt during the round and couldn’t finish was not allowed a refund for the back 9 or even a rain check to play when he Isn’t injured anymore. People were on top of each other the entire round. Overall was just an average experience and a little dissatisfied with the no help with my friend.

I took a day off as vacation and reserved this course through Golfnow. When we got there, qe learned there was flood and the course was not playable. They could habe called ma and notify that course was not playable due to flood before we got there since it was about 1 hr drive. Luckily we were able to play round of golf near Providence. Tks to the lady whonwirked there at the course.

Really disappointed but hope to play there next time. I have asked for reimbursement and hopdully we can get reimbused online.

Course is well kept and maintained. Greens were in great shape. Only negative is some of the cart paths need to be worked on. Highly recommend this place.
