About
Monroe's Bear Creek Golf Club is situated in the heart of Walton County. It's less than an hour from Atlanta, making it a conveniently close getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The course originally opened in 1990 but in 2008 it changed ownership and underwent a major renovation that elevated its conditions to rival that of any of the area's best golf courses. The bunkers were rebuilt and re-sanded and the fairways were re-conditioned. Bear Creek G.C. has always been known for its excellent greens, which have a reputation for being some of the state's finest putting surfaces. The layout measures 6,585 yards from the back tees, which may seem short but there are some ups and downs throughout that will make it feel much longer.

Not recommended
This course is defiantly not over $40 dollar course! not maintained cart path is all cracked up and fair way is not maintained putting green was acceptable for the money. Tee boxes have been moved around and shorted courses big time.
no other words to way. DO NOT PLAY THERE if you pay more than $30 dollars.

Been playing here for a while, the owners have continually been improving the facilities., new driving range, upgrades to the clubhouse, and to the course itself. My favorite local course although I live right beside another one, I would much rather play at Bear Creek, laid back and friendly, I like it.

Pleasantly surprised
This was my second time playing this course since they've done some re-designs and upgrades to it. I like the changes. I like them a lot. It had rained a bunch the morning before we teed off and was drizzling at that time but, once it stopped the course drained very nicely all things considered. It was a very good experience considering the weather conditions. I will definitely be back. I know once the summer rolls around this course will be extremely busy. I look to play this course a lot once the weather is consistently nice.

Goofy Golf
There have always been quirky holes on this course and the greens putt like a putt putt course but they have made it worse. They remodeled the clubhouse but have no food, not even a hotdog! They took one of the few normal holes and turned it into a par 3 and want you to hit off a concrete pad! Whomever placed their holes doesn’t know how as there was a torn up lip on nearly every cup. No grass on tees at all. Greens other than holes were fine. Almost all tees were moved to front. Not here again!

Amazing golf experience
I play here at least 3-4 times a week and I must say the customer service is top notch. The golf course has a great layout out with plenty of scoring opportunities. The amount of dedication and hardworking poured into this golf course over the last year is truly a sight to see. Definitely proud to say I'm a member.

Fantastic Course!!
This course is absolutely phenomenal. It’s great to see all the progress this course has made over the past few years. They have also just added a driving range so that is a huge plus!! Spoke to the guy at the front desk (can’t remember his name) and the owner, and they were both very nice guys and answered all the questions I had in an insightful manner. It’s a great course and I will definitely be playing here again!

Amazing
The staff is super friendly and the course is in amazing shape and the new driving range is awesome doesn’t leave green marks on my clubs and you can put tees in the mat. They are definitely making major improvements and I love it.

Not worth the money
At 60 dollars I feel they are trying too hard to make their money back on the improvements to the club house and addition of the driving driving range. Most of the tee boxes are dirt, the path is mostly trashed and the pace of play is at around 5 hours. I wouldn't complain if it was still 35 but at 60 it's not worth it

My adventure at Bear Creek
First off let me say I will be back to play this course again
, as I wasn't able to complete my round due to rain . But the part of the course I did get to play was very nice , and I'm sure once the fairways green out this spring it'll be even better . the greens were in great shape and running true , but I'll give a better review once I've played the complete course..

Average
Greens were the only good thing about the course. They didn’t give me my own cart because I booked a hot deal and made me ride with someone else even though there were like 5 people out on the course. I hit from tips, he hit from whites so having an extra cart would’ve made the round more enjoyable, especially when we hit on opposite sides of the fairway. Staff was friendly.

Great value
Bear creek is a fun course. With the new driving range it will be even better. The only negatives are hole 14 when it’s rainy. Love playing golf here and always have loads of laughs.
