Great Club and Fun Round
This is a great track and fun to play. Tough layout that makes you want to come back for more. Greens improve each time a play and the food and beverage are top notch, also affordable. The only negative is the pace of play. The inexperienced golfers do not know to let faster groups play through. Especially 5-6 person groups with a pair behind them.
Great layout and great conditions
This course was formerly in bad shape, but new ownership has made a dramatic transformation. A great layout is now matched by the maintenance of the course. Greens were still recovering from aeration, but rolled smoothly. Fairways were in good shape. The bunkers were just completely renovated and have very nice powdery white sand. Several beautiful holes. I enjoyed it so much that I am planning to join as a member soon.
By the way, I had heard you had to live in the neighborhood to even play or especially to be a member, but that is not true. Might have been true originally, but not for a long time now.
Solid Course
I’ve played here a few times. Overall, the course is a solid test, with the exception of an oddly designed short par 5 on the front nine. Course was generally in good shape, but the greens were still recovering from an aeration that looked to be at least a few weeks before I played if not longer, but otherwise the course was in good shape. Friendly staff. Good range to warm up.
Good food on the Cart
Course was in great condition even though it had been recently aerated. Typical North GA community course. Lots of woods. Rough around the fairways are so bad they should be OOB on a few holes. Pace of play was brutal and no Rangers to be seen. I played 12 in 4 hours and decided to call it quits. There was almost a fight at one tee box due to people trying to drive around the slow players. Saw several people quitting and leaving. Highlight of the day: Saw the cart girl three times in 12 holes and got a great chicken salad sandwich at a reasonable price. Range prices are exorbitant, double what anyone else in the area (including Chateau) charges. 9$ for 35 balls. No practice area for chipping.
Bang for the buck
This course is a high-quality bang for the buck. If you live in town it’s a bit of a drive but worth it. Just a real solid course.
Fun course
I declined the first invite to play here but not the second I'm glad I did.
Play it while you can.
One of the best values around better get a tee time before they go private.
Very Disappointed!!
First time playing this course and I was really excited. I expected a nice country club course and was looking forward to it to be a step above my normal venues. I was very disappointed. Everything is "under construction" which if I had been forewarned might have taken some of the sting off. The amenities were non-existent as the grill house is being renovated. All the bunkers were "closed" as ground under maintenance. Construction equipment in the middle of one fairway as they work to straighten a ridiculous dog leg.
Overall the course is very narrow with the edges falling off quickly and no secondary rough. If it's not in the middle, or darn close, it is a lost ball. Greens are very small with not much relief around the edges.
Might be a good course for the highly accurate player once it is fixed up, but Just not my kind of course, which again might have been alright if the place had been in reasonable condition. My experience with semi-private clubs, with a few exceptions. has generally been less than satisfying.
Better luck nest time,
This one will be added to the rotation
The staff was friendly. There is a very nice range and putting green. Start times were delayed due frosty conditions, but once started the pace was quick even though the first tee was backed up due to the conditions. The greens were in great shape and rolled true. I honestly played one of my worst rounds in a while here, but it was 100% on me. I enjoyed the layout and look forward to returning to improve on my score.
Great course
Played on a cold wet day so some areas were soggy to muddy. Greens were very quick and fun. Layout was fun with many dog legs and hills. Clubhouse staff was awesome. Carts are very new and nice. Lots of clear approach shots as there aren’t many trees or bunkers blocking the way
What a waste of time
Drive up an hour to play.
They had cancelled due to frost on a day when it was close to 59. No prior notification or warning.
Great Course, Top Notch Experience
This course is exactly what golf should be like everywhere you go. Nice buildings, friendly staff, clean carts, restrooms on the course, 2 snack bars, and a cart girl. Nice driving, short game, and putting range as well. The greens and fairways are all in great condition and the course is challenging but not frustrating. Remember if you are a 2-some they will pair you with another 2-some on the weekends but the marshal/starter is very nice and helpful. Great experience!
Good time at Traditions
I was behind a MCA but they were cordial and moved pretty fast.
