Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
About
Situated in the heart of Lowcountry, the Golf Club at Wescott Plantation is part of one of the area's oldest plantations. There are 27 holes of golf available at the club, which are divided into three nine-hole courses: Oak Forest, Burn Kill, and Black Robin. Although each golf course has a different character and scenery, they are all dappled with centuries-old live oaks and wetlands. The Oak Forest Course takes its name from the original plantation and has wider fairways than the other two courses. Lush vegetation frames each hole and the classic bunkering embodies the traditional feel of the course. The eighth hole is the signature hole of the entire golf course, distinct for both its scenery and difficulty. Par will be tough on this par 3 with a lake bordering the entire left side.

This is a good course
I have played this course several times and love that it is 27 holes so you get a different round just about every time you play
great course
The staff is friendly and the course is great. 3 different 9 hoke courses and all offer a different experience. I will play there again.
Really enjoyed playing this course.
Really enjoyed playing this course. Not too hard, not too easy. should be enjoyable for all skill levels.
course is in great condition
played the forward senior tees.
used the driver only 4 times
course is fairly open so missed hits have a chance
greens are very fast
Fun course
The course is in good shape, greens are pretty fast as usual. Overall good value will be playing the course more often
Wescott 10/14
Good day except the kitchen wasn't operating completely. VERY limited choices for a sandwich.
Great course Bad weather
This is the second time that I have played the course. The course overall was in good shape. Greens, bunkers were in good shape. It had been raining for almost a week solid so the course was soaked. The fairways were soaked with lots of standing water. In spite of the water I will definitely play the course again.
Well maintained despite the abundance of rain lately
Although the course was still quite wet (cart path only), we enjoyed the layout and the conditions of the greens. The course is well-managed and the staff are extremely professional and customer-oriented. From the head pro to the pro shop staff, starters and grounds crew, everybody was super-freindly and aimed to please. This all contributed to an enjoyable round of golf.
Better luck next time.
Played at Wescott again and as always I love this course. The faculty is usually top notch but today must have been an off day for the kitchen and bar staff. Very poor service and not once did we see the cart lady on the course like they said we would. But over all a great place for golfing.
Great course. Rough too high though.
Fairways and greens were fantastic. The tough was way to high though. Very difficult to find and hit out of.
This course has it all
Every type of warm up. Driving range, putting green, chipping area, sand traps. Fairways and greens are in super shape. 3 9 hole layout. Played 18 in under 4 hours. Great round. Other 3 players in our group agree and will play Wescott again.
greens
Greens have come along nicely now. Always enjoy my bread and butter golf course. Even good for a beginner such as best friend whom came out and played. He enjoyed it and had a great time.
Great course
Great course relative to the cost. Well maintained. Definitely will play there again.
Great layout
Very friendly staff, great for pre-round lunch or post round diner.
Course in great shape, Greens roll fast and true.
The pace was a little slow
Excellent value for the money
The whole facility is well equipped and well maintained. Typical layout for the area but with less water hazards.
Always Worth It
Westcott is conveniently located to highways, shopping, and residential areas but one finds themselves feeling alone from the world due to the course design.
There are three 9-hole courses allowing one to experience several different venues in one location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The course is kept in good shape.
Very Pleasantly Surprised
The course value was incredible. The course conditions were outstanding. The fairways were in perfect condition. The greens had been aerated recently but were in excellent condition and rolled true. I started out as a single and the ranger said that if I wanted to pair up with the twosome in front of me, they were fine with it, which I did after the first 3 holes. The course seemed relatively easy on the front 9, but became increasingly more difficult on the back 9. There are 27 holes and I started on the Black Burn 9 and finished up on the Black Robin 9. There were no extended waits, only short delays on the par 3s. It was one of my most pleasant golfing experiences in the Charleston area.
Pace of play was slow
Didn't see the Marshall at all and there were 2 extremely slow groups in front of us. That is my only complaint with this course. Overall very nice.
Classy with difficult hazards
Hello golf now I really enjoyed this course it was very challenging but at the sametime very fulfilling. There were no issues at all compared to a couple of the courses that I've played at in South Carolina I would recommend this course to anyone.
a little over priced.
well the greens where airated in the last 2 to 3 weeks. with mention of this from the club house would of been nice. With the practice green not airated it gave the golfer the feeling deflated when i walked on the first green. The rest of the course looked and played great. Although the greens are hard and fast. which leaves you putting from the fringe most the day. Hitting the green from 120+ yards out is unfairly hard. Ball marks were tough to find and harder to make. i guess to score good you need to hit the ball like an old man. Hit low and let it run on the green.
