Nice track, beautiful scenery, terrible bunkers
I've played this course during the summer over the last few years and again this year, as it's the best option in SLT if you're not up to paying the $$$ for Edgewood.
It's set in a meadow with a creek running through it and mountains surrounding, which is beautiful. So it's flat but has an interesting layout with a few forced carries and several dog legs.
The fairways are in great shape and the greens are fairly flat and only in so-so condition (lots of unrepaired ball marks).
The bunkers are terrible. They have some kind of very coarse sand with lots of little rocks, and that cruft is thinly spread over dirt. Surprisingly bad in comparison to the rest of the course.
Also they've raised the prices in the last year so it's not quite the bargain it used to be.
Beautiful and challenging
The Truckee River and natural beauty combined with the challenging layout will bring me back. The poor man's Edgewood!
Course is in great shape.
Bunkers could use a little more sand and a little less mud. I showed up as a single and they acted like they hadn’t seen one before.
Arrogant, pompous, grouchy, unfriendly
staff. Have played here over 20 years.
Course on downward spiral.
Kids special rates only after 5pm. Not welcoming at all!
Never again!!!
Lake Tahoe Golf Course
I played Lake Tahoe Golf Course on June 18, 2024. The course was in fantastic condition and the staff was extremely accommodating. The sights were nice to take in. The round took just over 4 hours, which isn’t bad for a public course. The greens were rolling nice. Only negative was that there were a lot of ball marks on the greens and unfixed divots in the fairways, which isn’t the courses fault. I am definitely playing here again.
Beautiful
Challenging enough course. Beautiful mountain backdrop. Plenty of space to let the driver loose.
Great time!
Very friendly staff. Great course layout. Friendly locals. Junior clubs for rent.
Definitely coming back.
Thanks!
Good value and slick greens
A great SLT golf value without diving into the Carson Valley. Slick greens with some strategic challenges getting to them. POP needs some serious improvements.
Fun mtn course!
Course is in very good condition. Greens are running fast & true. They have no ladies tees so it is not fair for the women. The silver tees (which are the shortest tees) are mostly next to the black tees. Give the girls a break!
