The Chimneys Golf Course

The course overall is a pretty decent value. Somewhat challenging course with beautiful fairways, well cut fringe and friendly staff. Only downsides are that the bunkers were in pretty bad shape as well as the greens were sanded down on the back nine so putting became inconsistent. Overall not a bad course for the price and I see it being in better shape in the next week to two.

We enjoyed our round today. I always enjoy playing The Chimneys! Course was in great shape and the weather was perfect. Now, if I could jut get rid of this slice!

This course is manicured and managed almost perfectly. It’s a shame to waste such a great track with greens that are so dang slow. It takes a full swing to get a 15 foot putt to the hole. I hope they can somehow get them rolling better in the future.

We played this course two weeks in a row because we loved it so much but the second week we were paired with a couple of strangers which was awkward and slow. It was a very hot and still day and the slow play made for an exhausting round of golf. We didn't go back for third consecutive week.

Greens were very slow but consistent, , my biggest problem was no water coolers on the course, the two fresh water fountains were not good. You need cold drinking water on hot day. My only vice. thanks

A challenging course from the blue, much easier from the white. Greens were "fuzzy" and very slow but consistently that way. I guess the mowers can't keep up with all the growth due to so much rain. Fairways drain well and are firm. The layout is pretty straightforward and course condition is about an 8.7 out of 10.

No ranger to check up on the pace of play. The 3some in front of us were beginners and were playing awful slow. Spending too many times looking for lost balls.

The green were extremely slow. They should press the ground more firmly so the ball can roll faster.

At least the fairways were in good conditions.

Played The Chimney golf course this past Sunday. Was pleasantly surprised on how good of shape the whole course was in. Had a great time at this very scenic lay out. I was a bit disappointed that there were no ball cleaners at an other wise great tee boxes. Pace of play was a little slow at times, but manageable. It did give you a chance to collect yourself, cool off a bit on this hot humid day, and prepare yourself mentally to forget about that bad approach shot you just hit. Overall a great course, a good experience and look forward to playing there again.

Beautiful course. Very good condition. Friendly staff. Very good snack/sandwich bar. Made for a very enjoyable outing!

The Chimney’s is a fun course and a can’t beat value. Played on Sunday 6/3 after much, much rain over past week and the course was generally in good shape. Some of the bunkers had been impacted by the rain, the greens were slow and it was cart path only but none of that surprised us and we could have paid twice the freight elsewhere and had the same conditions.

We teed off at 12:50 and the course was full but not many people in line to tee off. #1 requires a challenging placement of tee shot, I pulled left into the sand trap, and ended up with double bogey. After that 8 straight pars for a 38. Fairways were pristine, and greens soft and a bit slow, but to be expected with all the rain we had last week, but they were smooth and putted true! Back nine - Bogey - Birdie - then 5 straight pars - Finished bogey- bogey for another 38 and 76. My only criticism is the sand traps were not groomed, but that's understandable with the rains the previous days... Very nice round of golf.

The course is always well manicured. The fairways well sodded and the greens very nice. The course is a nice balance of challenging, moderately challenging and fairly easy holes.

It is a really a beautiful course on rolling hills. It is everything you could ask for in a course in this area of Georgia. It has attractive scenery. It is reasonable challenging and the course is well maintained. It's very nice.

Course in great shape greens generally play a little slow here. Very friendly staff let me push my teatime back an hour due to car trouble

Had a wonderful time on this course, rough was fluffy and green, fairways were gorgeous and fresh cut. The only gripe I have is the greens. They were in good condition they were just being grown out to be cut and rolled soon so they were veryyyy slow, can’t wait till they’re finished, will be back as soon as they get cut!
