The Chimneys Golf Course

Beautiful layout, intermediate level but still plenty of challenges, good rates staff excellent. Keep pace of play reasonable and good shape for winter.

Live the course and the layout. Green are a lot better. Very slow last time I played there. This time much better.

Chimneys is still the best value around. The course has greatly improved over the last few years. Though it isn't terribly difficult, the conditions are always good. Additionally, there is a woman who sells food in the cafe that is wonderful ( I particularly love her meatloaf sandwich!). Look forward to the next round.

Course was in good shape for February. Greens were smooth and medium speed. Pace of play was generally moving well until we caught up to 5 some which slowed us down toward the end of the round. I suggest the golf shop advise them up front to let others play through if they are to allow more than a 4 some play...Otherwise an enjoyable course to play.

Always in good condition, good layout with a mix of tough holes as well as some not near as tough.

A really good public course, I have played this course about 20 times over the last 3-4 years and will continue playing it in the future.

A very fun little golf course to to play with no water, and just a few bunkers, no way you can't shoot your best sore ever

Course was in very good shape for winter and greens were in excellent condition. Gary in the pro shop was top notch and the staff very friendly. I think the price is one of the better deals in the metro area. I highly recommend this course.

Helga at the turn has the best grub in Central Ga. That said, played in 3.2 hours, greens superb, great southern hospitality.

First time ever playing this course, my only complaint were the two threesomes that wouldn’t let me as a single player go ahead of their groups so I had to wait on several holes. Overall, the course is in great shape for the price and two par fours on the back nine are easily reachable with your driver (I birdied both). Will definitely be back here to play again soon.

Some great holes on this course. Some elevated with rocks surrounding green makes it look like you are somewhere else in the country. Good layout, fair price.

Pretty nice greens.

The course was in excellent shape and was fun to play. Friendly staff greeted me upon arrival, promptly took care of business and we were on our way. Beautiful fall colors made it a scenic rendition of the season. A very nice experience!

My home course is 15mins from my home, but they stack up very quickly on Sat and I've started to play Chimneys more as a result.

Conditions...tees, fairways are nice. Rough is less penal than a month ago, but enough to say it still pays to play from the fairway at this course.

Bunkers that I entered had plenty of sand.

The greens are mostly back from the last aeration..my home course greens roll out maybe 6"-8" more than here, but these were smooth...nice holing speed actually...you don't have to fear running it by 6' every time.

This is a fun layout with many scoring opportunities but there is a fair amount of elevation change and also some tough holes where bogey is not a bad score.
