About
The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Much improved!
I have played Chimneys many times over the last five years, and this week it was by far in the best shape I have ever seen it. While many of the courses in the area that I play are struggling with bare spots in fairways, Chimneys has very nice, even, grassy fairways. The greens were also in great shape. The newly remodeled clubhouse looks much more contemporary than previously. For the price this is one of the best values in the area. The front nine has some challenging holes, the back is easier. This course would be good for the average golfer, as I am one. Highly recommended.

Now at the top of my list of favorite Georgia courses. It is laid out for all level of players to enjoy. As a women player, this is very important to me. Overall beautiful course, that is convenient to get to.
Great experience
Had a great experience first time playing here! Course layout is challenging on many holes but fair. Conditions absolutely GREAT. Awesome greens, fairway lies were wonderful. Wonderful staff too. I look forward to playing The Chimneys again soon and hoepfully often!
Great Course
This was my first time playing this course and I will be back for sure! Had a few doglegs and elevated tees which were a lot of fun! The layout of the course is one of the best and the landscape is awesome! Can't wait to play this course again
Picking your tee can make a lot of difference
Depending on who I'm playing with, I'll play some white tees and some blue tees. This course can be pretty "testy" playing every hole from the blue due to placement/distance of hazards which require a big drive. Picking the tee that fits your game makes this course much more enjoyable. Conditions were perfect...good tees, smooth, soft fairways and very consistent greens.
Geens need work
The greens were still long and sparse and still sandy from the aeration; I can understand that, but what I don't like is when the greens are in that condition the pin placement should be at the most forgiving and easy part of the green...typically right in the middle. I look forward to playing there again after this rain and a good cut on the greens. The two former Navy men I was teamed up with were great to play with; especially since it turned out we all had the same skill level. Semper Fi.
Good layout, picturesque
When the grass comes in this will be a fun course with a couple of challenging holes. Three of the greens are driveable which provides something to shoot for. Can't beat the scenery.
Took my dad out to play on a perfect weather day. Golfnow stuck two other players with us but they were cool and we all had a good time. Course was in great shape with the exception of the grass around the greens, very matted down and tight making chipping a challenge. This will improve once the grass greens up. Play this course often and it never disappoints.
too many cart path only holes
Very scenic course, greens were ok but a little slow. On the front side there were too many cart path only holes and we witnessed no wetness problems. Staff was fine
