About
Located in Gainesville, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is one of the area's most popular public courses. The 27-hole layout is divided intro three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The nines, the Village, the School, and the Mill, share a beautiful rolling landscape provided by the surrounding foothills of the Appalachians. The School nine is the second longest of the three. Water comes into play on four holes, more than on any of the other nines. The course finishes with a memorable water hole. The par-5 ninth hole has two ponds that wrap around the green. Besides the water, you'll also have strategically placed bunkers to contend with. There are many challenging holes at Chicopee Woods G.C., but none of the courses are overly punishing for high handicappers.

Great Value for your money!!!
Chicopee Woods is an above average county run golf course in Hall County. I played the School/Village course of the 27 holes, pace of play was very good especially for a Saturday and the course layout and conditions were excellent!
Great value for your money, highly recommended.
School to Mill
The School to Mill is our favorite courses to play. This Fall afternoon was fabulous. The weather was great, pace of play was good until late and the course was in good condition. The greens were slow but had good coverage. I don’t recall any bare spots. One of the better courses to play in the Gainesville, Georgia area. Check it out!

Was a single player, and put with 3 others of same. Had great time. Shot pretty good too!

Cool morning to play, but the sunny sky’s made it are good day of golf.
Course was in excellent condition, you could see some of the improvements that they have been making.
This course has a great layout, and is a fair test. But the pace of play was extremely slow.
But I will be back to play again. Give it a try.

Greens are in excellent shape. Overall, I cannot say anything negative. The course is always well kept. I love playing at Chicopee Woods.

Golfed as a single, was put with 3 other singles. Had a great time!! Chicopee has always done a great job!! Keep it up!!!
One of the best public courses in Georgia
Greens and fairways are in excellent condition. Several tees to make it fun but challenging for all skill levels. I will definitely be back the next time I visit Georgia.
PACE
Really slow. 6 hours way to long.
Staff is phenomenal and the course is great.
Great course
Nice layout and very good condition for the price. However, pace of play was unreasonably slow. Did not see any ranger asking groups to play faster - a real downside to an otherwise great day
Starters!
There needs to be starters riding through and speeding up groups! We played a 6 hour round with us waiting on tee box’s all day.
Not worth it
Not even remotely worth it for the money. Start with crappy beat up range balls, the greens are slow and very bumpy, it’s impossible to keep a putt on line or on the ground. Then we made the turn and they had let of bunch of players off the back nine in front of us and it almost an hour longer to play the back than the front. The range didn’t do anything or apologize to us.
The layout is good but the course is just not fun to play.
