About
Located in Gainesville, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is one of the area's most popular public courses. The 27-hole layout is divided intro three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The nines, the Village, the School, and the Mill, share a beautiful rolling landscape provided by the surrounding foothills of the Appalachians. The School nine is the second longest of the three. Water comes into play on four holes, more than on any of the other nines. The course finishes with a memorable water hole. The par-5 ninth hole has two ponds that wrap around the green. Besides the water, you'll also have strategically placed bunkers to contend with. There are many challenging holes at Chicopee Woods G.C., but none of the courses are overly punishing for high handicappers.

Course is in great shape
Pace was sluggish but expected. Greens are perfect.

Best value for your money. The course is well maintained. Each course is challenging and unique. The staff is very friendly. I play Chicopee woods all the time.

Local golf
The course was nice as always. They had the course set up as cart path only. The course was dry and had no wet spots. Had a difficult time understanding that aspect. I have played here several times, and love the course.

Always been a great course. It’s only April and the conditions are pretty good. I know by end of May. They’ll be excellent conditions.

In desperate need of new management.
One of the worst managed and run courses in America. Pace of play doesn’t exist. It’s a fun little course if you can play when it’s not overbooked and you’re not having to wait 10+ minutes in every hole. But it’s almost always overbooked.

Fantastic course. Bermuda greens are smooth and fast. Only downside is pace of play. The average round is 5 hours which is fine if you have nowhere else to be. Definitely worth the money.

First time playing here. Played Mill to Village. Great course layout and green conditions. Tough day with high winds. Greens were hard to read and difficult but in great shape. Will be back when everything greens up.

Great First Outing
My friends and I played this course for the first time last week and were quickly won over by the quality of the course, the amenities, and the friendliness of the staff. After just one round this is now my new favorite golf course.
We played the Village and the School and can’t wait to come back to play the other 3rd.

Great layout but many will struggle with the tough layout
Course conditions were hard and fast which is real challenge with many fairways and greens having extreme edges. Played from the blue tees and despite hitting the driver great.. found it very hard to hit the greens. Par 4 6th hole on village and school are tough par 4's
I enjoyed it but the lady partner struggled to reach fairways and had zero chance of getting over the water on 6th on village.. It is a why bother to play hole.. I hit a driver 6 iron to green but shows it is a course for good players..
Greens were fine and conditions pretty solid. Playing mid week we finished in under 4 hours but could see how weekends could be slow. There were rangers everywhere which is not common on many course. Staff were excellent ..

Pace of play will kill you.
Conditions are always solid but the last couple years the pace of play has been excruciating. Regularly 5 hour rounds. There is a particular community of players known for slow play and they have overrun the course. Marshalls during the round were useless, making excuses rather than doing something about the slow play. Teed off twenty minutes late and still took 5 hours to play.
