About
Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a 27-hole course that sprawls across rolling terrain. It is one of the most popular public courses in the Gainesville area. The holes are divided into three nines called the Village, the School, and the Mill. They share the same scenic landscape but they each offer a different set of challenges. Five sets of tees provide the option of playing to your skill level. The Mill is the shortest of the three nines. Strategically placed bunkers come into play on almost every hole, you'll find plenty of them on the par-4 seventh. There are back-to-back water features starting with the second hole, the golf course's only water holes. Chicopee Woods GC also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens available.

Phenomenal
The course was in great shape. Nice tee boxes, well kept greens, fairways well maintained. Everyone was friendly. The carts have gps and give you distance to greens, hazards, etc. in case you don’t have a watch or range finder. My watch was acting up so it came in handy. This is my favorite course, especially for the price.

Best course this year
We’ve played 12 different courses this year & this is best we’ve played from tee to green. Courses struggle w/ tee boxes, not here. Overall condition above average. A golf course superintendent played w/us & he was impressed.
Started on time, finished in 4 hours. Like most courses you have to get a good website deal to afford the green fee. Wished they had senior &/or afternoon rates.

Great day of golf
This course was in great condition, it had a wide range of tee boxes to play from.
Pace of play was slow at best. I play with two other golfers which was a pleasure,
Will definitely be playing this again soon. A great value for the money.

Nice course. 5 hour round
Nice course, it’s kept up well for a public course.
The only complaint would be the cart paths throughout have a lot of gravel patchy areas. I’m assuming they are in the middle of repairing them.
Pace of play was typical of a public course. It was a five hour round.

Great value, Pace of play needs serious attention
Already great value, friendliness, quality facility. But the marshalls have to get on pace of play. Brutal 5:20 round. One ranger we talked to about group ahead said something but didn't follow through.

Great Time at Chicopee Woods!
Pretty place to play. Seemed crazy busy but the round played without hardly any waiting. Village cart path is trashed, but the course was just fine. Can’t wait to go back.

We were waiting on the group(s) in front, yet the cart was telling us our pace was too slow. Made the round feel rushed. Other golfers were waiting behind us. Probably overbooked tee times.

Too many people. Way too many.
I know a course need to make money, but over booking everyday is greedy and it takes the fun out of the game of golf. This needs to be fixed or you will lose more clients like me.

Great find.
My first time playing Chicopee Woods. Two of my foursome had never played here. I was impressed with the course design and the standard of grounds keeping. This is a pleasant course to play and the staff was very nice. The cart electronics were helpful with terrain and yardages and they also provided feedback on pace of play. The food at the grill was also tasty. This was a pleasurable outing for my foursome and I expect to play this course in the future.

Still a good place tomplay
Played here last week also; greens actually improved a little which was nice as they were really good last week.
A little slow for my taste, but in excellent condition this week. I am still surprised how well they keep the course considering the volume they have here. Always a good place to play a round.
