Pinecrest Golf Club

Took 41/2 hrs for a threesome. No ranger to keep play moving. A twosome ahead of us disappeared for three holes.( 10-12 )then just drove by us on 12 and started back to play ahead of us again. Have never seen this happen ever. So we waited and finished slow.

Stay in the fairway, the grass is deep and hard to find your ball.

Always enjoy playing Pinecrest. It is a challenging track requiring shot placement, staying out of trouble (plenty of trees, water and a few forced carries).

Greens are in great shape, fairways have filled out nicely for late summer, and the rough is penalizing - rewarding accurate drives in the short grass. A couple of the tee boxes are pretty chewed up and it is baffling why management doesn't move the tee markers to a better part of the box. Additionally, the traps are only inconsistently raked out, not a tough task to do, but the course needs to take care of this detail to be 'on par' with the other excellent public tracks in the area.

This is an amazing course. It’s very well kept and a challenging layout. The amenities equal courses 3X the price. Drive the extra few minutes and try this course.

Very nice layout and course was in good condition, except for a couple greens were a little rough. Good experience. Would definitely play course again.

Greens were recently plugged and top dressed but this was publicized and the rates were discounted. Unfortunately, the tee boxes and fairways were in very poor condition. Pace of play was excellent and pro shop staff was friendly.

We had a really good day, from check in to after golf beverages. Friendly staff as well as paired up with a couple locals which helped immensely. The only disappointment was the aeration, which was known ahead of time and rates reflected, so not complaining. A couple tee boxes were a bit rough but all other course conditions were very good (fairways, bunkers). Would love to play again when the greens are back.

The greens and the layout were exceptionally good. The tee boxes were very sparse and although green, the fairways needed more grass to hit off of. The bunkers were unkept and like hitting off concrete. The staff was pleasant and welcoming.

The course is tired looking. Needs to get the weeds out. Fairways and tees need the most work. Sand traps and bunkers are in need of work as well. Have played this course for 10 years and have seen the decay little by little. If you are into cheap play than this course under $40 is good. Would love to play this course if it was a good deal at $50.00. Love the 1st, 8th, 9th, 14th 17th and 18th. If it only looked like Hilton Head National.

1st all staff were great. That makes the start and finish of the round pleasant. The greens were not perfect but a good putting surface. Tees and fairways need to growing in time,, but you can find good places to hit off of. Our place of play was great until the final two holes. Some people are just clueless. We had a local member join us which made the round more enjoyable.. I use golf now on a regular basis, I wish there was a better discount to play here..I will come back..

Tight fairways, great pace on greens that held. Tee box grass a little spotty. Water on most every hole. Good fun course to play.

Nice layout pace of play was great. Negative was the fairway grass has not filled in. Maybe it’s too rarely in the year. Definitely will play again. The course has a great practice facility.

Nice course at a good rate. Add this to your list of courses to play the next time you visit Hilton head! We will return for sure!
