Played the West Course. Fairways were in excellent condition. Layout is straight forward allowing even first time on the course to strike the ball with confidence. Greens rolled true.
Always Awesome
Woodlands offers an extra $9 you play all day and lunch and range balls. I showed a little early about 9am starving. Nobody shows for the bar until about 10am so the manager went back to make me a ham egg and cheese sandwich. WHAT...how cool is that. They air the golf course way late in the summer when it is so hot it doesn't screw with may or june play which is perfect and 2 courses so it doesn't matter anyway cuz one is always perfect. Staff is killer and facilities are always nice. the members are cool and not braty and welcoming of others. Luv the place, just shoot for a golf now special cuz it can get a bit pricey
Good times
The course has some very unique design characteristics that will bring us back. The greens are some of the deepest I have ever seen yet the width of the greens were fairly small making for some interesting chips and putts. The greens are extremely grainy and take some practice. Other than that, would recommend playing.
lmb
Good course layout. Greens a little slow and rough due to recent maintenance. Bunkers have too many stones. I would certainly play this course again.
Great course with large greens
I played on a very wet and rainy day in between absolute down poors, and the course played great! I found myself really having to take into consideration the depth of the greens because they were large or played large from front to back. The tee boxes were in great shape, the fairway nice and the greens despite being a little soggy were rolling awesome.
4 PM Round
Single player, only had a couple of groups in front, they let me by very quickly, highly recommend for the money. Greens are in very good condition, so are the fairways. Traps a bit compact.
Very good experience
Course condition and shot selection makes this course very good experience to play.
I will play here again for sure.
Great value for the money!
Played the East course as a foursome. Finished in 3 hrs 45 min. Great layout and challenging greens. Will definitely be playing here more.
Windy Morning
Nice old school course. Lots of sand around bunkers makes for a good challenge. Play from black or blue tees to make the par 3's more difficult. Great staff. Nice practice area. Not worth the full price, get a deal from Golfnow.com. I did.
Great!
Overall very satisfied and I'm playing again after a good experience.
Excellent Greens
good condition, enjoyable round and the play moved very quickly
The service was the best part
Very friendly staff. Top notch course. Was teamed up with two locals. They were both gentlemen. Valet parking. Had a great time. It was quite windy bur the experience was next to none. I will definitely
Recommend this course and will play again on my next vacation to Miami.
Seven minute tee times
Tried to play the course, but first hole took 30 minutes of waiting. We waited 10 minutes on second tee and then returned to club house for a refund.
Perfect conditions
I'm a 4 HCP 17 year old that likes to go for that birdie streak but sometimes scores a double bogey for trying too hard.
It has a driving range, putting green and chipping green. The conditios of the tee's, fairways and greens are flawless. I got into a bunker once and it didn't have enough sand but I can't say the same for all the other bunkers. It's an easy course (West) since you can miss fairways and still hit the greens easily and not be penalized by hazards or OB's.
It has some good birdie holes where you can get back on track so it's a very complete course. It's made for long hitters but some holes we see ourselves obligated to use a hybrid or long iron because of some water near the landing area at around 290 yds. Definitely recommend this course to have some fun and go low.
Very playable.
Played West course which has been improved since purchase by ClubLink. Not too busy today. Husband & wife 2some. Played through a 4some at #3 and finished in 3:15.
Nice track with a Canadian spin - On the way up
We played Woodlands West. The course is set in what the developer envisioned as a Palm Springs environment. What that means today is that the course meanders through dated single level 1970's homes. Some are in pretty rough shape but there seems to be improvement going on. The course was bought by the Canadian company Clublink and the players are predominately Canadian.
The course itself was in good shape and challenging without being punishing. Greens excellent, fringes okay, fairways very good, sand traps okay but could use work.
My sense is that this was a good course that was sliding towards oblivion and is now rescued by Clublink. There are signs of investment going on. Will take a bit of time but should move from very good to great in the near future.
Nice golf game in good conditions
This course is in very good condition.
The pace of play is 4 hours.
The west course is very challenging with beautiful design .
Should have more early starting time ( 7:30 to 8:30 ) available for players that are not members but like the game and like to play early.
Woodlands west
Course was in great shape timing was as expected the staff was very helpful and accommodating the cart person with food and drinks was around 2-4 times while we were playing
Very nice country club
Staff friendly, energetic and helpful. Course conditions are very good , greens and fairways excellent. No negatives. This was a first class club. Loved it and will go again soon.
