West at Woodlands Country Club

The starter told me he had arranged for me to play with another pair and that I would be starting on the 1st hole.
I went to the 1st in time for my 12:38 Tee time.
There was no other pair at the Tee.
A 4 ball arrived claiming that their Tee time was 12:38, so I left @ 12:41 and went to the 10th Tee that was empty, so I teed off alone.
The pace of play was very slow, and eventually a 2 ball ( 1pm Tee time ) caught me up and I joined them for the remainder of the round.

nice layout 4.5 hrs greens nice but speed of greens some slow some fast, but nice course, and price was right with golfnow. they should put yardage markers in fairways so you know how far to clear water hasards in fairways.

The course was a fair test in good shape. We were scheduled to play the West course, but due to crowded conditions the staff put us on the East course which I liked. This showed the staff to be aware of conditions

It was the first time playing this course. I found it challenging but fun.

Arrival, club unloading and registration very easy and stress free. Course wasn't crowded and the conditions were great.

This is an excellent course for mid to skilled players.

I don't know how this course got a 4.1 rating Golfnow.com. The condition of the course, especially the fairways, is not good. Also there is a great degree of sameness to a lot of the holes. The surrounding area is rundown making for a less than aesthetic experience. Also, the majority of the water fountains don't work - not a good thing in the hot Florida sun. The one saving grace is that the greens are in good condition but this does not make up for the overall shabby milieu.

This is the second course I've played in a row that did not offer beverage service out on the course. I could understand this during the slow months but this is season and the golf course was jampacked! This is something the starters should tell the golfers ahead of time so we can purchase beverages and snacks prior to the round. Instead we wait and wait and wait and are forced to call the clubhouse while we're playing only to be informed two hours later that there is not a beverage cart on either of the two courses. Unacceptable.

Everything else was perfect...

Great course... Staff was excellent. Challenging enough, greens were really fast. Pace of play was due only to two weather delays before we gave up (20% chance of showers.... Nice job weatherman).

don't be fooled by the short Par 5's, can't reach the greens in two unless you have serious guts to hit 225yd approach shots with water carry at 150 - 200

Really enjoyed the lay out of the course and felt it was a great value. Staff us very cordial and friendly. Bartender was very cool.

Starter got me out early. Greens rolled out pretty good.

The west course is challenging but fair. Plenty of room to hit driver. Par 5's will make you work. Sand bunkers need sand but the fairways are well kept and the greens are fast.

The course was fun to play, had some water to cross without much notice

Most Florida courses I play seem to be repetitive but this one has personality and I loved playing it.

the ruff around the course is very thick and challenging, the greens are good and a little fast, overall in good condiction for an older course.

It is a great course to play, very challenging! Hope to play it many more times this season!

Woodlands has two nice courses that I've played multiple times. The East Course and the West Course, both are moderately challenging and fun. The only thing you need to watch out for is the aeration of the greens. It seems like they do this often at this place. Go check it out.
