Pines at Woodmont Country Club
About
The Pines is one of two championship golf courses at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac. It and the Cypress Course share a gently rolling landscape that is sprinkled with mature trees, which frame the views from the elevated tees. While they share the same terrain, the courses offer very different challenges. The lengthier Cypress requires both distance and accuracy while the Pines Course will get you thinking. It is a shot maker's course that will test a variety of skills. Course management is key as is a well thought out strategy for every hole. The layout features undulating greens and tree-lined fairways that also place a premium on accurate shot placement. In addition to the golf courses, Woodmont C.C. also has a driving range and two putting greens for golfers to use.

OK for $50
Pines is a goat track. But greens ok, slow, some burn spots. No cart service. But for $50 on GN it’s ok.
Woodmont
I have been playing here for 5 years .. Both the Cypress and Pines courses are in the best shape I have experienced here. We actually played front nine on Cypress and then were directed to the 9 hole Pines course across the street. Both courses are in very good shape, although the route across the street to the Pines is a bit confusing and the cart paths need work, the layout, shape, friendly staff, and price makes Woodmont a good choice for enjoyable golf in South Florida.
Worth it!
The greens were true. They were not “fast”. The fairways were in good condition. The bunkers were decent. It was wide open at 11:30. The front 9 has a good layout, but the back gets a little tough and strange. The pro shop guy is very cold. After the round the cart guy just sat there and said “leave the trash. I’ll take care of it”. That’s the ONLY reason I gave a few bucks. Didn’t even ask or attempt to give the clubs a quick wipe down.
Make sure to bring water to drink! No place to fill up your water except for the turn.
Overall, it’s worth the visit. I don’t let that stuff bother me TOO much.
Good time at a good course
Greens were a little rough in spots but overall a good round at a good course. Great value for the money
Cool course, won’t play again though
I’m new to the area and am trying out a bunch of courses. Getting from one hole to another at this course was a disaster and they have some signage that doesn’t really help. Also, the tee boxes and fairways were barely mown. The staff was super friendly and helpful though!
Construction is still annoyance and some greens needed some love. Still a great course.
Will return
I hadn’t played here in a while due to the apparent work going on at the course and closing of 9s. I was happy to see the course remains in good condition with fairways and greens looking and playing well. Some of the boxes are a little beat up but not a huge deal you can find teeing ground. Greens were a pleasant surprise and rolled well and quick. I will return over the coming months.
A GoodExperience
It has been some time since I played the Cypress Course. The new Clubhouse is beautiful and the course condition was very good (except a few tees which were being worked on). It is apparent that the staff at Woodmont is puting attention into the conditions and I feel that they are delivering a better product then many other accesible courses in the area. The greens were in very good shape, and I would highly recomend this track to anyone.
One of the best public courses I've played!
I can't say enough about how awesome the layout and the conditions were pristine! Absolute awesome course and a great value, you can't go wrong with this course.
Play Cypress.
Not sure why this is only asking for review of Pines and not Cypress.
Enjoyed the course and the 3 guys I played with. Course was really worth the value on the Tee Off app. I look for reviews on course shape and I won't disagree with the other reviews. Had a good time here.
Always a solid choice
My friend and I didn't play the Pines this time, but the full Cypress 18. Plenty of dog legs and well placed water hazards. Greens rolled true. The best part of Woodmont is the people working there. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff is top-notch. Great attitudes and they seem to enjoy their work. Makes it fun to return.
